Exactly five years to the day since Tottenham beat Reading 6-4, Arsenal repeated history with another ten-goal thriller, beating Alan Pardew's Newcastle 7-3.

Sealing the deal

Newcastle equalized three times during the game, but a hattrick from Theo Walcott, two goals from Olivier Giroud, and a goal each for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski were enough to see The Gunners secure an emphatic victory.

Tottenham 6-4 Reading, December 2007

After going in 1-1 at the break, the game between Tottenham and Reading set a light in the second half, with eight goals being scored in the final 45 minutes.

Reading was 4-3 up in the contest, but goals from Jermaine Defoe, Steed Malbranque, and Dimitar Berbatov's fourth of the afternoon saw Tottenham seal the victory and sink Reading to even greater relegation worries.

Tottenham 9-1 Wigan Athletic, November 2009

Two years later, Spurs were back at it again, securing a 9-1 victory over Wigan Athletic in another ten-goal thriller at White Heart Lane.

Seven minute hattrick

Five goals from Jermaine Defoe, including a seven-minute hattrick, and goals from Peter Crouch, Aaron Lennon, David Bentley, and Niko Kranjcar helped seal the win in Tottenham's biggest top-flight victory.
