Real Madrid legend Luka Modric breaks another astonishing record

Luka Modric has become a legend during his time with Real Madrid, playing a key role in one of the most dominant teams in European football history. Recently, he won his 27th trophy with the club, breaking the record for most titles by a Madrid player ever, per Goal.

In total, the Croatian midfielder has secured: 6 Champions Leagues, 5 Club World Cups, 5 European Super Cups, 4 La Ligas, 5 Spanish Super Cups, and 2 Copas del Rey (domestic cup).

Modric alongside the Real Madrid squad won the 2024 UEFA Champions League final at Wembley (2-0), for the very first time in the club's history. It was an important moment for the Spanish club that secured another great European championship in one of the world's most renowned stadiums.

The Croatian midfielder closed the 2024 season with a bang and some very prolific stats for the 38-year-old player. According to Onefootball, Modric scored 2 goals and provided 6 important assists in his 44 games last season.

"It's impossible to beat so many teams, so many Champions, to reach so many semi-finals, just by luck," shared the Croatian international during a post-match press conference in 2022.

During the 2024 Champions League celebration at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Real Madrid '10' gave fans a hint of a possible contract renewal at the end of the season.

"I'm sure that Modric will stay one more season," shared Florentino Perez after the 2024 Wembley Final. The 2018 Ballon d'Or winner is set to stay for one last dance at the Bernabeu.

"Luka Modric stays at Real Madrid as he will sign a new deal next week -  here we go, confirmed. The final meeting with Florentino Perez will be exactly as expected. Put pen to paper, take pictures, then announce it. Modric didn't care about money, he rejected two big proposals," Fabrizio Romano reported.

The Croatian midfielder made his debut on August 29, 2012, only two days after his presentation, and the rest is history... A brilliant career at the Bernabeu, with more to come.
