The disturbing fan request that still bothers star gymnast Olivia Dunne

Olivia Dunne is currently one of the most popular female athletes, boasting over 5.3 million Instagram followers and a combined audience exceeding 10 million across all her social media platforms.

It certainly doesn't always make life easy for the 21-year-old gymnast. Not only does she face the challenges of elite competition and rigorous training but also has to manage the attention of some fans with unusual interests.

She discussed the price of fame and the challenges of worldwide recognition on the podcast 'Best of Both Worlds with Flau'jae.'

In the interview, Dunne revealed some of the odd requests she gets from fans, saying, "for a long time, people kept asking me in the comments for the water I used to shower in."

"I thought, 'Where has my life come to? These people are asking me for the water I bathe in,'" she said, cringing at the idea.

So much so that she even considered stepping away from the social platforms, something that she ultimately did not do, because "in a way, it has calmed down a bit, but it was a madness that I will never forget."

"I took it as a joke. It was funny at the time," she said,

Flau'jae Johnson supported Dunne's comments about the bizarre requests for her bathwater, saying, "I remember seeing it and wondering why they did that."

Despite the bizarre requests she receives, Dunne is serious about addressing those who attribute her success solely to her looks. "I get upset when people say I don't deserve what I have or that gymnastics isn't a real sport," she explained. Her frustration is entirely understandable, given the hard work and dedication required to excel in gymnastics.
