Recommended Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups

It can be a fool’s errand for fantasy managers to look at their upcoming schedule, but this peek ahead with the playoffs in sight makes a lot more sense now. Everyone is looking for the slightest edge that will get their team over the hump and into the postseason mix. We’ll take a look at players to make a move for ahead of Week 11’s NFL games.

Chandler is a familiar name to fans who read the pickup column, as he was a recommended play ahead of Week 10. He’s now a must-add, as Vikings starting running back Alexander Mattison suffered a concussion in the last game. Cam Akers is already out due to injury in Minnesota, so Chandler is the next man up.

Somewhat surprisingly, Boyd wasn’t available in a lot of leagues even before the news about Tee Higgins’ hamstring injury broke last week. If the veteran pass catcher is still somehow available, run, don’t walk, to snatch him up. Hamstring injuries tend to be multiweek injuries, which means Boyd could be relevant in lineups for a little while.

The Cardinals welcomed starting quarterback Kyler Murray back into the fold in Week 10, and he continued to pepper McBride with targets. These were the same looks McBride received with Josh Dobbs under center, proving that the transition won’t appear to affect his fantasy productivity. It seems like starting tight end Zach Ertz may be a few weeks away from game action, as well.

Figuring out which Green Bay pass catcher is going to pop in a given week has been a futile effort, but it seems like Reed is going to be a worthwhile dart throw. Between him, Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, someone seems to come down with a big catch that helps fantasy managers. In Week 10, it was Reed who had the most notable day.

The Dolphins had their bye week returning from Germany, but will return to the field in Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders. A well-rested Miami defense with time to prepare wrinkles for rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell is a nice bet to come through in fantasy. The Dolphins will also have either Jalen Ramsey or Xavien Howard to throw at Davante Adams as well.

If your fantasy team is still patching things together at tight end, we feel your pain. It seems like the majority of the fantasy community is in the same boat, but help could be on the way in the form of Freiermuth. He should be a week or two away from returning to the lineup, and could be stashed away in an IR spot until he’s back.

Many running backs have had impressive games against the New York Giants in 2023, with Dowdle being the latest of the bunch. He’s not a threat to unseat Pollard for the starting job, but he does appear to be the clear number two back in the event Pollard should go down. If you’ve got room at the back end of your roster, having Dowdle on the team just in case could pay dividends down the road.

It’s not exactly an exciting proposition to roster a Jets player not named Breece Hall or Garrett Wilson, but Conklin’s usage in recent weeks deserves attention. He’s received six targets and seven targets in the last two games respectively, and seems to be re-emerging as something of a safety valve for Zach Wilson.
