Change at the top: Our bold Premier League prediction after Match Day 4

We are still too early into the Premier League season to be making too many judgments on how the table will look after every team has played 38 matches, but we are ready to make some changes to our bold Premier League predictions!

Ipswich have put together an incredible run to move from League One to the Premier League in just two seasons, but it may end up being too much too soon, with the Suffolk side struggling in a league full of high-quality teams. Ipswich have managed to draw a couple of games which so far keeps them out of the relegation zone, but realistically, how long can they hang on?

We are really hopeful it won't be the three promoted teams going straight back down, but the Saints' squad just doesn't look strong enough to compete in the Premier League. Currently 19th, we don't expect them to improve from here.

With just one point through three games, Wolves look below the standard needed to keep them in the Premier League as it stands. Their loss to Newcastle will be especially jarring given the position they were in.

Forest's squad looks full of quality on paper, so there's a world in which they finish far higher than this, and their start to the season suggests we may be being stubborn by keeping them this low. If they keep up their current pace, we will happily admit to our mistake and move them higher.

Leicester are one of six teams without a win so far in the 24/25 season. The news that they will not be punished for any PSR violations will be music to their ears, as they will need every point available to stay up.

"We could see Brentford fighting for their Premier League lives this season," was what we wrote before the season kicked off. That looks a little silly now, given how much trouble they gave to Man City. 

Fulham were able to bring in Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal in what could prove to be a difference-maker for the Cottagers. If Smith Rowe can stay healthy, he should become the focal point of their attack. Five points from four games isn't a bad return for a team firmly cemented in mid-table. 

Bournemouth played some incredible football in the 23/24 season to finish 12th, but after losing Dominic Solanke to Spurs, their squad looks weak in attack. The recent signing of Evanilson from Porto could replace the output from Solanke if he can adapt quickly to the Premier League. Bournemouth should have beaten Chelsea at the weekend showing how difficult it will be to win at the Vitality Stadium.

Despite holding onto Marc Guehi, Palace are seemingly struggling in all areas of the pitch, having only earned two points so far this season. Could last year's purple patch have been an illusion, or was Michael Olise really that important to the Eagles?

Per TalkSport, the Hammers made eight signings this summer including Niclas Füllkrug, Crysencio Summerville, Max Kilman, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. New manager Julen Lopetegui has certainly been given the backing he needs, but so far the results on the pitch have not been up to par, failing to win any of their opening three games. 

What on earth are Chelsea doing? Signing every player in football, selling academy graduates and the club captain, them to train alone as the deals are done, and still not looking like an especially good team. There are few teams more intriguing to watch in world football, with the Blues looking like world beaters one week, before appearing to have forgotten every bit of ability they have the next.

Before we are accused of underrating Villa, Opta has them finishing eighth in their model, so we are higher on them than some. There is no doubting Villa's quality, especially up top, but with Champions League commitments, their squad will be tested in ways it hasn't before.

The Magpies have been relatively quiet in the transfer market this summer, so they will be banking on the same core as last year. Sandro Tonali will help balance their midfield, we just don't see them winning enough games away from St. James' Park to finish higher than sixth.

Spurs have made some impressive signings this window, securing Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth and Archie Gray from Leeds, per Transfermarkt. Spurs currently sit 13th after an abject performance in a 1-0 loss to bitter rivals Arsenal at home. Can Big Ange turn things around, or will he be in line to be the first manager fired this year?

"United finished last season with a -1 goal differential per Statmuse, which is almost unfathomable, so we expect them to be more successful in front of goal this campaign." Remarkably, they are managing to stick perfectly to a goal difference of 0 so far this season. This isn't a great team and Ten Hag looks out of his depth, but top four is still a possibility.

Liverpool probably won't challenge for the title this season under Arne Slot as first-time managers rarely do, but this is about as good a start as you get, with Liverpool yet to concede a goal this season. A loss at home to Nottingham Forest will sting, but it does showcase where Liverpool are as a team. They need Champions League football this year to fund replacements for at least one legend who is set to be leaving.

Before the season started we had Arsenal winning the Premier League, and nothing they have done so far suggests that's not possible, as they've picked up 10 points from a possible 12 despite missing key players and not playing their best football. There's a long season ahead, and we think Arsenal will be there or there abouts for the entirety of it.

Erling Haaland has nine goals in four matches as City have made a perfect start to the 24/25 Premier League season. A tantalising early-season matchup sees Arsenal travel to the Etihad Stadium next Sunday in what could be an early six-pointer!
