Vinicius Jr.'s major Champions League scandal

Real Madrid are once again champions of Europa, after beating Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final. Vinicius Junior was key for Los Merengues, scoring his club's second goal.

However, Dortmund played an excellent first half, creating some good chances for Karim Adeyemi, among others, but the Germans were unable to open the scoring.

Referee Slavko Vinčić seemed to have everything under control in a match that was played in a fair sporting atmosphere.

The first yellow card of the match was for Vinicius Junior, who touched Dortmund goalkeeper Kobel when he was pressing too enthusiastically.

Vinicius Junior clearly disagreed with the referee, expressing his dissatisfaction and disbelief at the decision.

Later, however, the Brazilian was lucky to stay on the pitch, after a clear dive down the left, simulating a foul after a tackle by Mats Hummel.

"That's a dive. No doubt, that's a dive," former Real Madrid coach José Mourinho told TNT Sports.

"Then Nico Schlotterbeck gets a yellow card for complaining with the referee. Okay, you have to get the yellow card, but in the end it's a consequence of something that he knew. He knew perfectly that it was a dive," Mourinho further expressed his disbelief.

Real Madrid took the lead in the second half through Dani Carvajal's header, after which Vinicius Junior himself scored with a left-footed finish. To the disbelief of Mourinho and Dortmund, who felt the Brazilian should have been sent off by now.
