Jürgen Klopp lands first job following his heart-breaking Liverpool exit

Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has landed his first job since leaving Merseyside in the summer, and this time, he won't be a manager.

According to The Sun, the German football legend will be the new Global Head of Football at Red Bull, signing a long-term deal that begins on January 1^st, 2025.

At Red Bull, Klopp will be tasked with advising all of the teams under the Red Bull umbrella: RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, and New York Red Bulls.

Klopp will advise on managerial appointments and transfers, while also developing young players and creating a playing philosophy. His contract has a clause that states it can be cut short if the German national team job comes calling.

It was surprising and painful, especially for its fans. Klopp announced that he would leave Liverpool in January 2024 at the end of the 2023/24 season, and everything around Anfield stood still.

Klopp shared a two-minute video on Liverpool's social networks explaining the complicated news to the football world. "I will leave the club at the end of the season," he confirmed.

The German coach, visibly moved, admitted to loving everything that surrounds the club, from his love for the city. So why did he leave?

As he confirmed in the video: "I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again."

French legend Thierry Henry spoke to CBS Sports about Klopp's departure. "It is tough to be a manager, and no one cares about you. You're going to have to take care of yourself at one point," the Frenchman said. "I understand that it's very nice for fans and everybody involved, journalists, but do not think only about yourself and thinking that the Premier League will miss Klopp, that Liverpool will miss Klopp."

"We know that, we know that is true. But he was missing his family, he was missing his own time, he was missing his sanity. So good for him. When I got the news, I was like: 'Good for you,'" Henry added.

There were no issues with the board, poor results, problems with the players, or anything like that. Simply put, Jürgen Klopp considered that his time as a Red was over, and he wanted to leave before it was too late.

Obviously, his nine years as Liverpool manager were brilliant and his time at the prestigious Premier League club will be remembered as one of the club's most successful.

The German coach, as well as winning a Premier League, a Champions League (as well as two finals), a Club World Cup and several other titles, arguably his biggest achievement is returning an identity to a Liverpool team that he took control over in one of it's lowest periods.

In fact, at the time of the announcement, the team sat at the top of the Premier League table, above super teams like Manchester City or Arsenal. They also secured the League Cup against Chelsea.

The German's dynamic and fast-attacking football dazzled the Reds fans and the entire world. The coach himself has become a beloved figure in English football, with his generous character and strong ideals setting a truly positive example as both a coach and on a personal level.

There is no doubt that in his next role with Red Bull, he will do his utmost to deliver success for all the teams under the energy drinks umbrella.
