Tennis star Coco Gauff is set for a mighty career change after French Open win!
American superstar Coco Gauff had a traumatic end to her French Open singles journey, losing to Iga Swiatek in straight sets in the semi-final. However, she now walks away from Paris with a smile on her face.
With regular partner Jessica Pegula out, Gauff teamed up with Katerina Siniakova in the French Open doubles, forming a formidable partnership and helping Gauff pick up her maiden doubles Grand Slam.
According to Tennis365, Gauff and Siniakova beat Italy's Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini 7-6(5), 6-3, avenging Gauff's previous heartbreaks in doubles Grand Slam finals.

Gauff lost in the 2021 US Open and 2022 French Open doubles finals, but now, after winning her maiden one, is a change on the cards for the American star?
Speaking after her heartbreaking loss in the singles semi-final, Gauff alluded to potentially finishing her doubles career when she won her first doubles Grand Slam.
Before her doubles semi-final match, Gauff said: "I want to win a doubles Slam. I don't want to say close that chapter of my career, but it's something I feel like once I do it, I don't know if I'll come to continue to chase more."
Her comments suggest Gauff is in for a momentous career change in tennis, and her focus is now on winning singles titles and Grand Slams. At world number two, according to the ATP rankings, the American is always a favorite in each competition she plays in.
Aryna Sabalenka was a US and Australian Open doubles champion with Elise Mertens before dropping the discipline to focus on her singles career. She has since made seven straight Grand Slam quarterfinals and won the Australian Open twice.
Sabalenka is a proven blueprint for success after dropping doubles. Can Gauff gain similar success, potentially win Wimbledon, and retain her US Open title from 2023?
Gauff will make any decision after the 2024 Olympics in Paris, as she and Pegula could lead the US to Olympic Gold in the doubles discipline this year.
