Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley left the NFL world speechless on November 3rd with his one-of-a-kind backward hurdle in the Eagles' 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Superhuman plays

His superhuman play has got us thinking... What are the most out-of-this-world plays the NFL has seen to date?

‘The Catch’ Odell Beckham Junior

Odell Beckham Junior's catch versus the Dallas Cowboys in 2014 may be the most incredible catch ever seen in the NFL after receiving it with one hand on the stretch in the end zone against Dallas' Brandon Carr.

‘Beast Quake’ Marshawn Lynch

Marshawn Lynch made NFL players look like children during his career, and that was no different when he played for the Seattle Seahawks against the New Orleans Saints in 2011. Lynch received the ball and knocked everyone aside to score a 67-yard touchdown.

Martavis Bryant's absurd catch

Martavis Bryant produced a catch to rival OBJ's in 2016 for the Pittsburgh Steelers. With the Steelers up 9-0 in the AFC Wild Card encounter against the Cincinnati Bengals, Bryant hauled the ball into his thigh, tumbled, and somersaulted out of the back of the endzone.

‘One man tip drill’ DeAndre Hopkins

In 2017, DeAndre Hopkins performed some sorcery. With a defender illegally defending the play, Hopkins tipped the ball with one hand and knocked it to his other, somehow dragging both feet in the end zone to score a touchdown.

‘Superman’ Cam Newton

Cam Newton had inventions beyond his time at the quarterback position. While charging toward the end zone for the Carolina Panthers against the Houston Texans, Newton front-flipped over the defender and landed on his feet to score a touchdown.

'Jumping the gun’ Troy Polamalu

Troy Polamalu had instincts like no other in the NFL. His ability to 'jump the gun' and sack the quarterback on the whistle was extraordinary. In a game against the Tennessee Titans, Polamalu sacked the Titans QB before he managed to turn away, and he wasn't whistled for it.

‘Chase down’ DK Metcalf

When the Seattle Seahawks had a pass intercepted on the Arizona Cardinals' five-yard mark, it looked like Buddha Baker would race to the opposite end zone unchallenged. However, DK Metcalf had other ideas, somehow chasing down Baker and bringing him down before just before he could reach the Seattle end zone.

‘Flipping Touchdown’ Jerome Simpson

The Bengals' Jerome Simpson completed one of the finest plays in NFL history in 2011, receiving the ball from Andy Dalton on the 15-yard line before front-flipping over the Arizona Cardinals defender at an extreme height and landing on his feet.

‘Helmet Catch’ David Tyree

The moment, the concentration, and against the undefeated New England Patriots, David Tyree pulled down a Hail Mary from Eli Manning with his hand and helmet in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl to set up the New York Giants' historic comeback in the NFL finale.

‘One Hand Magic’ Marty Booker

In 2008, Marty Booker hauled in one of the most underrated catches in NFL history, hauling in the ball one-handed from near his feet and behind a defender, giving Chicago a first down on the seven-yard line.
