2024 NFL Mock Draft 5.0: Post-Combine Edition Picks 1-16
The NFL draft process is long and laborious, with information and reports from insiders constantly changing the public perception of who the “hot” draft picks are. We try to use our own evaluations and media reporting to create our mocks, so, without further ado…
Every day there seem to be more and more reports that the Bears are moving on from Justin Fields. If they do, they may as well announce Williams as the first overall pick now.
Lance Zierlein for NFL media has Maye going third to the Patriots, which is not something we see happening, but he did remark “The feedback from team sources (at the Combine) was 100 percent positive regarding his interviews and work on the whiteboard.” That only solidifies his position as QB2 for us.

Daniels has the potential to be an elite playmaker in the NFL, we just don’t think he’s a better player than Maye, so he falls to number three, and into the Pats’ lap.
Rinse and repeat at the top of the draft. Unless something dramatic happens, we can’t see this top four changing anytime soon.
Alt is a mammoth of a man and looks settled at offensive tackle after only two years of playing the position full-time. His RAS of 9.91 is elite, per RAS Football, which, combined with his play makes him a tantalizing prospect for the Chargers.
There are two positions most draft experts are mocking to the Giants, offensive tackle or wide receiver. We can see it going either way, but Nabers could be too good a prospect to pass on here.
The Washington standout wide receiver put together an exceptional Combine performance, running a 4.45 40-yard dash while standing at 6’3” and 212 lbs, per NFL Network. The Titans have needed elite wide receiver play since trading away AJ Brown, Odunze can give them just that.
The Falcons could well end up being the landing spot for Justin Fields, which could involve this pick, but we’re leaving it as is for now and the Falcons are taking the best EDGE rusher in the draft.
The Bears get their QB at one and solidify his offensive line at nine. Fuaga is “extremely powerful and reliable,” per Bleacher Report, which should help protect their talented rookie QB.

Mims is a natural right tackle allowing Alijah Vera-Tucker to slide inside to guard, creating a solid and powerful right side of their offensive line.
The Vikings need to add some youth to their defensive end rotation, and Verse does just that. If they fail to re-sign Kirk Cousins, they could look at taking a QB here.
We’ve liked this pick for a while, but with Russell Wilson out the door, the Broncos need a QB more than ever. McCarthy boasted a 72.3% completion rate in college, per Pro Football Focus, a number Sean Payton will surely have taken note of.
The Raiders need talent almost everywhere, but we can see them prioritizing defense under new head coach Antonio Pierce. Arnold has to potential to be a lock-down corner in the NFL, which makes any defensive playcaller’s life a whole lot easier.
Lance Zierlein describes Latu as, “the most polished pass rusher in the draft,” which is exactly the sort of player the Saints need to bolster an EDGE rushing group lack in youth and depth.
Bowers could end up as a top 10 pick or fall to the end of the first round, it’s tough to tell how NFL evaluators view the talented tight end prospect from Georgia. We like the combination of Bowers with Shane Steichen and Anthony Richardson in Indy, so we have the Colts taking him here.
The Seahawks recently released both starting safeties opening the door for a young draft pick to come in and make their mark. DeJean has the versatility to play corner or safety, but in this scenario is he going to be prowling the defensive backfield for the Seahawks.
