14 medals

So far Australia has claimed 14 total medals, 7 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze – putting them at number 2 in the tournament medal tally as of Wednesday evening (31 July). Incredible!

Swimming: 8 (4 gold)

Perhaps unsurprisingly, swimming accounts for the bulk of Australia's medal tally. So far the Aussies have secured 8 medals in the pool, including golds for Kaylee McKeown in the Women's 100m Backstroke, Mollie O'Callaghan in the Women's 200m Freestyle, Ariarne Titmus in the Women's 400m Freestyle, and in the 4x100m freestyle relay going O'Callaghan, McKeown, Titmus and Shayna Jack.

Swimming: 8 (3 silver, 1 Bronze)

This is rounded out by three silvers in the Men's 4x100m Freestyle Relay, Men's 400m Freestyle, Women's 200m Freestyle, and a bronze in the Men's 4x200m Freestyle relay.

Canoe slalom: 2
