Mock Draft 6.0: Post Free Agency Edition Picks 17-32

The Jags have been investing in the offensive line following the signing of Mitch Morse and giving Ezra Cleveland a big-money extension. They take this a step further in the draft, selecting Fuaga to lock down the right side of their line for the future.

Chidobe Awuzie has signed in Tennessee leaving a gaping hole in the Bengals secondary, in this mock Arnold, who Daniel Jeremiah describes as, “a big-time playmaker who is just scratching the surface of his potential,” falls into their laps.

Wiggins is a little undersized, but his speed and ball skills more than makeup for it. The Rams have been one of the best drafters in recent years despite their lack of early-round picks, Wiggins gives them a chance to get a potentially elite defensive back.

Garrett Podell for CBS Sports describes Powers-Johnson as, “perhaps the best interior blocker in the entire draft,” which should suit the Steelers as they look to rebuild a stagnant offense.

The Dolphins lost Christian Wilkins in free agency, fortunately for them, Murphy falls to number 21 in this mock, allowing them to find a plug-and-play defensive tackle with their first-round selection.

It’s not the flashiest pick, but the Eagles have done a great job of finding starters in free agency, allowing them to build for the future by selecting Guyton, who looks the part but needs some fine-tuning.

Despite losing Jonathan Greenard, the Texans may have upgraded (at least in the short term) by signing Danielle Hunter. Now they can select Robinson who can learn behind Hunter for a few years. Robinson is a player with, “superlative athleticism,” per Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz.

The Cowboys need offensive line help for the first time in a little while and Fautanu is probably the best tackle left in this scenario.

The Packers finally moved on from the oft-injured David Bakhtiari, so they will be looking for a replacement at some point. Suamataia, “has the potential to evolve into a standout offensive tackle in the NFL,” per NFL Draft Buzz. Sounds like a good fit to us.

Thomas often ends up falling to the Bucs in our mocks which could be a sign we are undervaluing his skillset. Still, if the 6’4”, 205 lbs wideout who runs a 4.33, per NFL Network, falls to 26, the Bucs would be stupid not to take him.

Latu has slipped in this mock as he could go much higher, Daniel Jeremiah has him getting selected at 21 for instance, instead, he falls to the Cardinals who will happily take on an experienced and talented pass-rusher.

Tre'Davious White is gone, leaving a vacancy at starting cornerback. We aren’t sold that McKinstry will ever be elite in the NFL, but we do think he has the potential to be a solid piece in a good defense. Sean McDermott is a great defensive coach which should help too.

Robinson is huge, standing 6’5” and 290 lbs, having moved from defensive tackle to end, but played everywhere on the defensive line at some point or another. The Lions could do with some help pushing the pocket, Robinson can do just that.

The Ravens need another target for Lamar Jackson beyond Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews, Adonai Mitchell is a field-stretching wideout with great size and ball skills who Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz describes as, “electric”. Have fun stopping Lamar and Derrick Henry when you’re worried about those guys on the outside.

Barton looks like an offensive guard, his name sounds like an offensive guard, and he plays like he’s the strongest player on the field on every snap. The Niners need OL help, so just take the best available player there.

Mahomes is maybe the best to ever do it and has led the Chiefs to three Super Bowls already, give him another toy to play with in the 6’3”, 215 lbs Keon Coleman who monsters everyone at the catchpoint.
