Richest athletes

Typically, the richest athletes in the world compete in the most popular sports, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Floyd Mayweather, and LeBron James all amassing extreme fortunes. One sportsperson you wouldn't think of is a Danish dressage rider.

Meet Anna Kasprzak

Meet Anna Kasprzak, the Danish dressage Olympian whose fortune sits among some of the richest people in the world and is as much as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's net worth combined!

More than both Messi and CR
According to Zonal Sports, Cristiano Ronaldo's net worth is $800 million (approximately £660 million or €755 million), while Lionel Messi's is around $650 million (about £535 million or €610 million). Yes, that's a lot of money when combined.
A billion dollar heritage

Kasprzak is an incredibly successful businessperson. According to Forbes, she has amassed over $1.3 billion (approximately £1.06 billion or €1.21 billion) in assets at just 35 years old. This remarkable achievement firmly places her among the highest-earning athletes in the world.

Athlete and businesswoman

Anna Kasprzak has almost more than the two best players in football history combined – one currently being the highest-paid professional athlete in the world today!

More than Floyd too!

Floyd Mayweather Jr., known for his immense wealth and aptly nicknamed "Money," boasts a net worth of $1.1 billion (approximately £907 million or €1.04 billion), according to Forbes.

London and River

This young Danish woman is an outstanding rider who participated in the London 2012 Olympic Games (fourth place) and in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games (sixth) in the discipline of Team Dressage with Denmark.

Dressage

On an individual level, the rider finished 18th in Rio 2016 and 14th in London 2012.

European runners-up

A year later, at the 2017 European Dressage Championships, she would finish in a creditable second place in the team event.

Missed out on Paris

She unfortunately failed to qualify for the most recent Olympic Games in Paris, 2024, however.

From the horse to the Ferrari

While Kasprzak has been navigating the world of sports on horseback, in the business realm, you could say she has been driving a Ferrari.

Family and multinational business

The businesswoman is the owner, alongside her mother, Hanni Toosbu Kasprzak, and her brother, Andre Kasprzak, of the well-known Danish shoe company Ecco.

Third generation

The company was founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, Anna Kasprzak's grandfather, and thus now has the third generation on its board of directors.

Booming business
Ecco is now a multinational corporation with sales reaching $1.47 billion (approximately £1.2 billion or €1.4 billion) in 2023 alone, according to Forbes.
Presence in half the world

And it is that ECCO is present in more than 90 countries and has more than 2,200 stores in all of them, as well as a powerful online store.

It is in her blood (dressage and business)

Interestingly, Anna Kasprzak started horseback riding at the age of four, following in the footsteps of her mother and brother.
