According to reports, the death currently appears to have resulted from an accident. Investigators have gathered multiple testimonies from friends who were with Andrea Capone in the hours leading up to the tragedy.
Fell down the stairs

Capone reportedly fell down the steep stairs of the hotel suite where he was staying. It is not yet clear whether the fall was caused by illness or if he simply tripped.

Tripped on the stairs

His lifeless body was found by hotel staff at 11 a.m. Monday morning. Capone apparently hit his face and head in the fall.

Night out clubbing

The former footballer had spent the evening in a club to celebrate the baptism of the son of a close friend. It seems that, at the end of the party, the 43-year-old had not been able to find the keys to the house and had therefore decided to stay in the hotel suite.

Time of death not confirmed

Other guests at the baptism were also staying at the hotel. The exact time of death has not yet been confirmed, but will likely be determined following an autopsy.
