Kylian Mbappé's magnificent new home in Madrid

Kylian Mbappé's move to Real Madrid has finally been announced, meaning the French star will be moving to the Spanish capital.

Not so long ago, local Spanish media (El País and Vozpópuli) reported the French forward already had his eyes on a new home, a luxurious mansion in one of the most affluent neighbourhoods of the Spanish capital.

Furthermore, according to Vozpópuli, Mbappé was on the verge of sealing a deal on two luxury mansions. Just in case one was not enough.

His new home will be in La Finca, Pozuelo de Alarcon, outside the city outskirts. He will reside in the same neighbourhood as previous Real Madrid stars like Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Gareth Bale.

La Moraleja is another location that allegedly interested the French forward, located north of Madrid. According to Vozpópuli, he was considering buying his second property there. The question is, how much money is he willing to spend?

The Spanish newspaper, El País, estimates the total cost for a 1,000 square meter home is valued between €8 and €18 million (£6.8m-£15.3m/$8.5m-$19.2m).

In any case, we are talking about a typical football player's home in Madrid: an expensive design, a large private pool, an extensive garden... According to El Nacional, Mbappé could buy the house of Sergio Ramos, a former Real Madrid player.

In case you prefer to rent, according to El País, it would cost around €25,000 (£21k; $26k) per month.

One of Mbappé's reasons for secluding themselves in reserved luxury areas is due to safety reasons. Spain is not a dangerous country when it comes to crime, but better safe than sorry.

Money is not a problem for the French forward after playing in Europe's elite for a while. He has the financial capabilities to purchase whatever he pleases.

In the last report made by Forbes, it was concluded that in 2023 Kylian Mbappé obtained estimated earnings of €120 million (£95m, $120m) between advertising and sports contracts.

While Madridistas eagerly awaited the arrival of the French star, real estate agencies were the first in line. The agency helping out Mbappé will charge around 3.5% commission on the final sale. If the final price rounds up to €18 million, the agency would cash in €630,000 (£540k,$670k).
