Ten Hag sacked: Who could replace him at Manchester United?
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been sacked by the club following United's 2-1 loss to West Ham United at the London Stadium on October 27th.
Ten Hag leaves the club after two and a half years at Old Trafford. He won the League Cup and FA Cup while guiding the club to the Champions League spots in his first season.
However, after missing out on the Champions League spots last season and currently sitting in 14th position in the Premier League table, United have sacked Ten Hag and appointed assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy on an interim basis.

United's senior hierarchy, including part-owner Jim Ratcliffe, hosted a long-standing meeting on October 8th, and Ten Hag's future was the main topic of discussion.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United heavily focused on acquiring former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel, but he chose the England national team.
The most successful club in English football considered Tuchel in the summer after he departed from Bayern Munich, but the club chose to trigger Ten Hag's one-year extension.
Even before sacking him, United owner Jim Ratcliffe didn't seem confident in the Dutchman's future when asked about Ten Hag's future.
According to the BBC, Ratcliffe said: "I like Erik. I think he's a very good coach, but at the end of the day, it's not my call." He added: "It's the management team running Manchester United that has to decide how we best run the team in many different respects."
"Our objective is very clear. We want to take Manchester United back to where it should be, and it's not there yet — that's very clear."
With Ten Hag gone, who could be in line to take over the reins at the club?
Former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has been linked to the job at Old Trafford after leading Dortmund on a historic run to the Champions League final and taking Bayern Munich to the final game of the Bundesliga season. At 41, United could create a long-standing project under his leadership.
Barcelona legend and their former manager Xavi Hernandez could be in line to take the job at United as he looks for his next job in football. The football legend led Barcelona to the La Liga title in 2023, fending off an elite Real Madrid team. Could he save United?
After leading England to successive European Championship finals and rejuvenating the country's hope in their national team, does Gareth Southgate deserve a shot at managing one of the biggest clubs in the world?
Or could it be new Manchester United coach Ruud van Nistelrooy who could take the club further? The Dutchman played for United in one of their most successful periods and understands what it takes to be successful at Old Trafford. Could he land the permanent job after his interim spell?
Kieran McKenna built his reputation as a top coach in the younger age groups and as a first-team coach of Manchester United. After helping Ipswich Town to back-to-back promotions to the Premier League, does he have a chance of taking the job?
