Creating history

The 24-year-old Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo created history after becoming the first Olympian from the Philippines to win not one but two Olympic golds.

His two wins

The gymnast scored gold in the men's floor event, with a score of 15.000, and followed this up with another victory in the men's vault event, scoring 15.116, per The Times of India.

Incentives

For most athletes, a gold medal is the greatest incentive an athlete can receive. However, for Yulo, the Philippines hero has received more than he could wish for upon securing two gold medals.

Cash prize

According to Complex Sports, Yulo will receive 10 million pesos (£136,591, $173,366) from the Philippine government, as well as 6 million pesos (£81,955, $104,020) in cash incentives from the House of Representatives.

Strange rewards

A cash incentive has become a normal incentive for most athletes at the Olympic Games, but Yulo has received some weird and wonderful gifts for his success.

Three-bedroom property

The gymnast has been given a three-bedroom property in Taguig City and a fully furnished condo. He will receive an iPhone 16 and free cookies for life from a local bakery.

More food

If a lifetime supply of cookies wasn't enough for the double gold medallist, Yulo has also got a lifetime supply of mac and cheese, grilled chicken, ramen, and many more from various local restaurants.

“FREE LIFETIME RAMEN”

According to the Daily Mail, a ramen bar in Calasiao said: "To celebrate your outstanding achievement, we are thrilled to extend a special gift: FREE LIFETIME RAMEN not just for you, but also for your wonderful and supportive girlfriend, Chloe Anjeleigh."

Free education

To finish off his incentives, the gymnast has been gifted two free restaurant franchises and a free college education. Not bad for a couple of days' work!

Can he continue?

At 24 years old and seemingly at the top of his game, will Yulo continue his Olympic domination and potentially build a food and property empire at home?
