Locked in

Lando Norris has his eyes locked on the 2025 race season, claiming he is "ready to bring the fight to everyone," according to BBC. Both driver and McLaren claimed they've learned a lot from their mistakes in 2024, and things are looking good ahead of the next season. Will the team from Surrey (England) keep their momentum up?

A harsh reality

Norris has repeatedly shared his Drivers' Championship frustration, as the title slipped out of his hands and into Verstappen's. "When that realization kind of sets in of 'it's gone', it's a tough one," shared Norris with BBC.

Tight title race

At one point through the season, Norris managed to get within 47 points of Verstappen's Red Bull, but Verstappen's jaw-dropping victory in Brazil gave the 'Flying Dutchman' more cushion in the standings.

The pressure

Did Norris let Verstappen slip away with only four races to go? Maintaining such pressure on Verstappen for a prolonged period is not easy, as the Dutchman constantly proves he is the best out there on the tarmac.

A positive conclusion

"It's been a year where I've been pretty proud of my performance. Proud of performing under pressure, delivering when I have," Norris added during the interview.

Constructors' Championship

Despite losing the Drivers' Championship, snatching the Constructors' Championship was rather big for the English team.

24 years later

At McLaren, Andrea Stella and Zak Brown celebrated the incredible efforts of Norris and Piastri, who ended the team's 24-year wait by bringing the Constructors' Championship back to the McLaren garage.

"It will be incredibly naive"

Beyond the great races, team principal Andrea Stella has managed to reignite the winning 'spirit' at McLaren. "It will be incredibly naive to think that because we achieved the constructor championship, now we deserve it for the future," shared Stella during a BBC F1 podcast.

Mora than 666 points

When looking ahead at the 2025 driving season, Stella believes the team should be able to pass its previous 666 points mark during the 2024 season, if not, "you have to be ready to face a loss," claimed Stella in the podcast.

What lies ahead?

F1 fans eagerly await the new season with renewed hopes for some great racing. Both pundits and analysts believe there will be many changes ahead of the final standings in 2025. Goodwood Road and Racing believes Verstappen won't win a fifth consecutive title, as momentum has swung in favor of McLaren. Only time will tell.
