Is Draymond Green’s NBA career over after copping indefinite suspension from the league?

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely by the NBA after striking Phoenix Sun center Jusuf Nurkic in the face on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred with 8:23 remaining in the third quarter of the Golden State Warriors' 119-116 loss to the Suns. Green received a flagrant foul two and was ejected immediately.

Green will be suspended and will be required to meet league and team conditions before he is allowed to return to play.

This is the second time already this season that Green has been suspended by the league after he held Minnesota's Rudy Gobert in a headlock in November. He missed five games.

Joe Dumars, the Head of Basketball Operations and Executive Vice President, said the decision to ban Green indefinitely is due to a 'history of repeated unsportsmanlike acts.'

In the last 25 NBA seasons, only Rasheed Wallace (25) has had more ejections than Draymond Green (18) in the league, meaning he has the most ejections out of any active player.

Green has been suspended four times in the last nine months, and the Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy Jr and Green's agent Rich Paul have met to discuss a path for counselling so Green can move forward.

According to ESPN's First Take, former NBA player Jay Williams said: "So now, in totality, if he gets suspended, he would have paid three million dollars in suspension fines." Stephen A Smith added: "That means six million because of taxes."

According to skysports.com, All-Star forward and Green's former teammate, Kevin Durant, said: "I hope Draymond gets the help he needs."

With all the suspensions and repeated unsportsmanlike acts, Draymond Green's days in the NBA may be numbered if he doesn't get the help he needs on this occasion.
