The Indiana Fever guard has drawn plenty of attention since her arrival this season in the league. The number one overall pick has increased TV viewers and spectators.
According to NBC News, Clark is the third-most fouled player in the WNBA, having been fouled 46 times. Chicago Sky's Chennedy Carter was the most recent attacker on Clark, hitting the guard with a shoulder charge off the ball.
ESPN reports Clark said: "I wasn't expecting it, but I think it's ... just respond, come down, let the play do the talking. It is what it is. It's a physical game. Go make the free throw and then execute on offense."
Carter's recent foul on Clark has sparked a debate on social media as to whether Clark is being treated unfairly in the WNBA.
Speaking on TNT Sport, NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley said, "LeBron, you are 100% right on these girls hating on Caitlin Clark, you are all petty girls."
NBA veteran Austin Rivers took to X and said, "We've got to stop the cap and all the hate some of you women are putting on Caitlin. Let's be honest about why people have such high interest all of a sudden in women's basketball. The Caitlin Clark effect!!"
The incident on June 1st was the latest in several hard fouls on Clark, with New York Liberty's Breanna Stewart setting a hard screen on Clark on May 18th, knocking her brutally to the ground.

Just four days after the Stewart incident, Seattle Storm forward Ezi Magbegor caught the ball and a lot of Clark's head on a blocked shot.
Is the harsh treatment from other players justified? NBC reports that Clark has picked up three technical in the last 11 games and has been whistled for 32 personal fouls, the fourth most in the league.
Seventh-overall pick Angel Reese has a widely known agenda against Caitlin Clark that started when Reese beat Clark in the NCAA Championship game in 2023.
Since Reese won the NCAA Championship in 2023, Clark has beaten Reese in the 2024 tournament and was drafted six places higher than her in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
According to GNSports TV, Reese said: "We got celebrities coming to games and sold-out arenas. The reason why we're watching women's basketball is not just because of one person. It's because of me, too. I want y'all to realize that."
Front Office Sports reports Indiana Fever attendance has increased from 4,066 to 16,571 (+308%), and the Chicago Sky's has gone from 7,241 to 8,247 (+14%). Has Reese made an impact, or is she jealous of Clark's attention?
What do you think? Is Caitlin Clark being unfairly treated by other players in the WNBA, or is her aggressive style making her an easy target?
