Mock Draft 12.0 picks 1-16: Honing in
We are just a few days out from the NFL draft, so now is the time to hone in on our final predictions. With a first round that looks ripe for trade activity up and down the board, this is a tough draft to project, but we’ll give it a go!
All the reports from NFL insiders are that this pick is all but decided. Williams is an elite prospect at QB, if he pans out, he will be the best in Bears history.
Oddsmakers are shortening the odds that Jayden Daniels will be the number two pick, but we don’t see it. Draft expert Benjamin Solak charted Daniels as having a 36.7% stand and deliver percentage, which is unprecedentedly low for any QB prospect.

As mentioned, we aren’t sold on Daniels as a pro-ready prospect, but the Pats don’t need him to be. They have Jacoby Brissett ready to start for a season or two, allowing Daniels to fine-tune his game.
The Cardinals could sit and take Marvin Harrison Jr. and we wouldn’t be shocked, but everything the Vikings have done so far suggests they are looking to trade up for a QB.
The Chargers need a wide receiver desperately, and they get their guy in Harrison, who had 67 catches for 1,211 yards and 14 scores in 2023, per Sports Illustrated.
As Jonathan Jones writes for CBS Sports, “the Giants could absolutely draft a quarterback with this pick and I wouldn't blink,” but is it worth reaching when Nabers is right there?
The Titans can pair Alt with last year’s first-rounder Peter Skoronski, locking down the left side of their offensive front for the foreseeable future. Alt has the tools to be elite.
Dallas Turner should give the Falcons some much-needed pass rush. Per Dan Parr of NFL Network, the Falcons have the lowest QB pressure rate in the NFL since 2016 which makes it really hard to win in the NFL.
The Bears could take a wide receiver here, but as Sports Illustrated pointed out, defensive end is a sneaky need in Chicago. Verse is the second-best EDGE defender in the class and should pair nicely with Montez Sweat.

The Jets are in a one or two-year window to win before Aaron Rodgers hangs up his cleats. Joe Douglas needs to nail this draft class by choosing instant-impact players. Rome Odunze has the potential to be just that.
“He can play outside and inside and had great ball production at Alabama,” per Jonathan Jones. Arnold is a useful, versatile option for Jonathan Gannon’s defense.
We don’t love Penix as a pro-prospect, but the Broncos are desperate. Could they wait until the second round and see if Bo Nix is available?
Per CBS Sports, at least one NFL personnel executive believes Latham is the “safest” tackle prospect in the draft. The Raiders need an influx of talent, but they can’t afford too many risks.
The Saints need to find a left tackle for the future, and they could end up getting blessed with Fashanu falling into their laps at 14.
There have been reports that some NFL scouts are skeptical of Bowers’ athleticism, of all possible criticisms, this seems like a reach. Bowers in Shane Steichen’s offense should be fun to watch.
The Eagles, and Howie Roseman, are never shy of trading up to secure their man. All the reports suggest the plan is to find a long-term replacement at RT who could play guard in the meantime… enter Troy Fautanu.
