NBA number one pick Victor Wembanyama’s most incredible 22-23 games

French forward Victor Wembanyama is the solidified number-one pick heading into this week's NBA draft.

The French superstar talent will be heading to the San Antonio Spurs, who secured the number one pick at last month's NBA Draft lottery.

Wembanyama has been hyped up as a generational talent and drawn comparisons to LeBron James as the best player since 'The King' joined the NBA.

Wembanyama has completed his season with Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92, in which his team reached the French League Finals.

In the finals, his team was swept by the more dominant Monaco, meaning his full attention can be turned to the NBA Draft and the San Antonio Spurs.

In the Pro A Leaders Cup game against LDLC ASVEL, Wembanyama was dominant on both sides of the ball despite the  65-72 loss.

'Wemby' finished on 29 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks in 34 minutes on the floor and shot 43.8% from the field despite going two for eight from the three-point range.

Games between Metropolitans 92 and Nanterre have always been closely fought contests in the French league, but the Metropolitans superstar came through in their 92-85 victory.

Wembanyama was dominant on the defensive end for his team, hauling down nine defensive rebounds and blocking five shots. The French ace also finished on 30 points.

In a 92-78 road victory against Nancy, the NBA Draft number one pick showed why he has been so sought after by every NBA franchise.

At 7ft4, 'Wemby's' ability from the mid-range is unstoppable, making eight of 15 attempts and finishing on 30 points. The French star also grabbed 15 rebounds, with 13 being on the defensive end.

Following on from two 30-point games in victories against Nanterre and Nancy, Wembanyama produced his second-highest scoring total of the season against Fos.

'Wemby' produced 32 points in the 96-85 victory, going 9-13 from the mid-range and three of seven from the three-point range (60%). He also had ten rebounds and three assists.

Victor Wembanyama's best performance of the 22-23 season came in a 78-69 win against Limoges, producing 33 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks.
