Here are the players to watch out for at the 2024 Paris Olympics!

Katja Stam (Netherlands)

With five top-ten finishes in 2024, Katja Stam and Team Netherlands will fancy their chances at the Paris Games. Stam and her partner Raisa Schoon were the youngest team at the Tokyo Olympics, and with more experience, Stam could lead the Dutch to a medal.

Anouk Verge-Depre (Switzerland)

Anouk Verge-Depre is one of the most experienced players at Paris 2024, having already played at two Olympic Games and winning a bronze at the 2020 Olympics. Verge-Depre and her partner Joana Mader are the two highest-ranked players in the world, according to the Beach Volleyball website.

Barbara Seixas (Brazil)

After already winning on the 2024 Volleyball World Beach Tour in Doha, Brazil's Barbara Seixas will be hoping to inspire Brazil to a victory after picking up only one gold medal in the women's category.

Chen Xue (China)

Standing at 6ft3 and starting in her fifth Olympics, Chen Xue is a legendary figure in beach volleyball, winning three golds at the Asian Games and securing a bronze at the Olympics in 2008. After two wins on Tour this year, could this be the Games she gets her Olympic gold?

Laura Ludwig (Germany)

At 38, Germany's Laura Ludwig has won everything on the beach volleyball circuit, securing Olympic gold in 2016, one World Championship gold, and four European golds. She has five top-ten finishes in seven events in 2024. Is this her final dance?

Talique Clancy (Australia)

With a silver medal at the 2020 Games, two silvers at the Commonwealth Games, and a bronze medal at the World Championships, can Talique Clancy finally go one step further and win gold for Australia? Clancy has played fifth in her last two events on Tour. Is she treading in the right direction?

Christian Sorum (Norway)

The Olympic website reports Christian Sandlie Sorum and Norway were the gold medallists at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and are back to defend their title. Sorum won the 2022 World Championships and gold at the Vienna Elite 16 in 2024. Can he and Norway be stopped?

Cherif Younousse (Qatar)

Cherif Younousse and his partner Ahmad Tijan were responsible for bringing the first Olympic beach volleyball medal back to Qatar, winning bronze in 2020. They won gold at the 2018 and 2022 Asian Games, while Younousse also won silver at the Asian Beach Games.
