Iga Swiatek

Poland's Iga Swiatek comes into Wimbledon in blistering hot form, having won the French Open, the Internazionali BNL d'italia, and the Madrid Open in her last three tournament starts.

World number 1

According to the WTA website, the world number one has a record of 45 wins and four losses in 2024 and seems nearly unbeatable. Her best finish at Wimbledon was in 2023, when she got to the quarter-final stage. There are still questions about whether she can perform on grass.

Aryna Sabalenka

Since the beginning of 2023, Aryna Sabalenka has exploded to the forefront of women's tennis, winning back-to-back Australian Opens in 2023 and 2024. So far this season, Sabalenka has a record of 30 wins and nine losses, making her a clear favourite at Wimbledon.

Taking the next step

Sabalenka has proved she can go far at Wimbledon, reaching the semi-final twice in the last three years. It feels like she is ready to take the next step following two fantastic years in professional tennis.

Elena Rybakina

After a rocky start to 2024, 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina has started to put some long runs in tournaments together as we approach the third Grand Slam of the year.

In good form

Rybakina has won the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, reached the semi-final of the Madrid Open, and the quarter-final of the French Open in three of her last four starts. Her success at Wimbledon in 2022 is proof she has what it takes to be a contender this year.

Mirra Andreeva (Surprise)

17-year-old Mirra Andreeva had to qualify for Wimbledon in 2023 and stole the hearts of many after narrowly missing out on a quarter-final place. A year later, the 24th-ranked player could be one to watch at the championships this year.

A winning coach

According to Sky Sports, Andreeva has begun working with former Wimbledon champion Conchita Martinez, a winner who knows how to get it done on grass. Since working with Martinez, Andreeva became the youngest Grand Slam semi-finalist since Martina Hingis in 1997 at the French Open.

Coco Gauff

At 20, Coco Gauff has quickly established herself as one of the best tennis players in the world, winning the 2023 US Open and reaching the semi-final in both Grand Slam events in 2024.

Always got a chance

Despite her success in the Slams this year, Gauff isn't typically a strong grass-court player, having never passed the third round at Wimbledon. As the second-ranked player in the world, Gauff is always in with a chance of winning.
