Tough guy

“Terminator” star Arnold Schwarzenegger toughness is not just limited to his iconic movie roles in the 90s. The former bodybuilder famously has no time for 'whiners' and 'crybabies', but that doesn't mean he's actually as cold as a T-800...

Unparalled career

The native Austrian biography has more accolades than your average A-lister: a top-level bodybuilder (including a seven-time Mister Olympia title holder), a beloved action movie star, a politician as governor of California – and a successful businessman.

Not a whiner

His secret? Not being a "whiner".

No shortcuts

In an interview with Howard Stern in October 2023, the 76-year-old said that there are no shortcuts in life.

Get up and go again

Instead, every time you fail, you have to get back up and put in the effort to become a stronger person, Arnie told Stern.

Get stronger

“The more you fight, the further you will go and the stronger you will become,” said Schwarzenegger. Coddling yourself won't get you very far.

A soft generation?

Schwarzenegger told Stern this was one of the biggest issues with the current generation. He ssaid many young people today avoid pain, heartache and discomfort.

Arnie's warning

“Don’t start creating a generation of whiners and weaklings!” Schwarzenegger warned as Bild newspaper reported.

A considerate father

Schwarzenegger, who is the father of five children between the ages of 26 and 33, advocates being an engaged parent in the upbringing of children.

But they have to experience pain

Nevertheless, he said it was important to let children go through painful moments and not to pamper themselves too much.

A strong character

Working out and learning how to fight and being tough is important to building a strong character, the "Predator" star said.

Bodybuilding and Down Syndrome

Just like Kyle Landi: The 23-year-old has a passion for bodybuilding – and was born with Down syndrome.

What is Down Syndrome?

Down syndrome is a genetic disorder in which chromosome 21 occurs twice. As a result, people with Down syndrome have physical and mental limitations.

"Fitness is for everyone!"

However, Kyle Landi doesn't let this limit him. Instead, he lives by the motto “Fitness is for everyone!”, as Essentially Sports reported.

A new fan

Schwarzenegger met Landi by chance at Gold's Gym – and was amazed by the young man.

Fitness for everyone

In his newsletter, Schwarzenegger writes: "Fitness is for young, old, rich, poor, black, white, heterosexual, gay, man, woman, disabled, non-disabled – and everything in between."

Focus on inclusion

At the same time, he appealed to gym operators and called on them to focus their gyms even more on inclusion.

Don't discriminate

Gyms should be inclusive because you can't turn people away because of who they are, Schwarzenegger said.

Inclusion and inspiration

Instead, inclusion and bringing different people together is a great inspiration, said Schwarzenegger, according to Essentially Sports. Keep it up, Arnie!
