Another win

Carlos Alcaraz is setting new records in tennis following his French Open win this month, now, the Spaniard is on track to reach new heights by signing a mammoth new contract with Nike.

Youngest

Per We Love Tennis, Alcaraz has become the youngest player in history to win three Grand Slam tournaments on different surfaces.

Face of the brand

His success has led to Nike offering him a bumper new apparel contract, worth up to $20 million (£15.8 million/€18.7 million) a year.

Decade long

The contract, which has been reported on by Spanish publication Relevo, is rumoured to be 10 years long, locking Alcaraz to the brand through his prime.

His own logo

Relevo also reported Nike are planning to create a bespoke Alcaraz logo, as they have with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the past.

Timeline unknown

The timeline for Alcaraz’s personalised logo is currently unknown, but given the Spaniard’s recent success, the American sportswear brand will surely hope to capitalise as soon as possible.

No shortage of cash

Alcaraz’s rise to the top of the tennis world has coincided with a significant influx of cash already, with the three-time Slam winner taking home $31,543,329 (£24,907,558/€29,545,374) in prize money, per ATP Tour.

Already top 10

That puts Alcaraz, who’s still only 21, in the top 10 men’s earners of all time on the ATP Tour, according to Tennis 365.

Long way to go

Despite his early successes, the Spaniard has a long way to go to overhaul the highest men’s earner of all time, Novak Djokovic, who has taken home a staggering $182,494,969 (£144,103,502/€170,935,737) in career earnings.

Can he catch him?

Should Alcaraz continue at his current pace, he is possibly the only current player who may have a chance of overtaking Djokovic, both in career earnings, and Grand Slam titles, but can he?
