According to Front Office Sports, the Dagestani fighter earned $22.9 million (£17.9 million/€21 million), making him the second-highest-earning fighter in UFC history, behind only Connor McGregor.

Gifts from on high

According to UFC boss, Dana White, Nurmagomedov was gifted nearly his entire UFC career earnings in property by Russian President Vladimir Putin. White claimed, “Putin gave him [Khabib] and his father like $20m (£15.8m/€18.6 million) worth of property in Russia,” following his bout with Connor McGregor in 2018.

According to MMA Mania, Khabib has focused much of his time since retirement coaching his fellow Dagestani fighters, including Islam Makhachev. According to ex-UFC fighter and announcer Daniel Cormier, Khabib spent over $1 million (£780,000/€920,000) preparing Islam for his first title shot in 2022.

Khabib’s dedication to mixed martial arts is in no doubt, with the Dagestani launching the Eagle Fighting Championship, having bought the Gorilla Fighting Championship for $1 million (£780,000/€920,000) shortly after his retirement from the sport. The Russian-based promotor boasts over 500,000 followers on Instagram, suggesting Khabib’s investment will be well worth the money!

M-eat by Khabib

Khabib seems intent on investing his money in areas he is interested in. This includes his Russian-based fast food chain, M-eat by Khabib. According to SportsKeeda, M-eat is famed for serving horse, a popular meat in Russia and elsewhere.

Real estate

Khabib has also forayed into the world of real estate investment, according to The Richest. While the exact investment is unknown, Khabib has, at least in part, funded the construction of the Al Firdaus Residence and Halal Complex in Turkey. This is reportedly Khabib’s first real estate investment.
