If teenage sensation Luke Littler's month couldn't have gotten any better, it did, as he became the first darts player to reach one million followers on Instagram.

Incredible run

The 16-year-old has been the most talked about sportsman over the last month, having incredibly found his way to the World Championship final.

Loyal fans

Littler has built up an army of loyal fans after his impressive performances at the tournament, which included beating former world champions Rob Cross and Raymond Van Barneveld.

More followers than the best

Unbelievably, Littler has more than double the number of followers as three-time champion Michael Van Gerwen and times more than new world champion Luke Humphries.

Darts Premier League

Littler will match up against Humphries, Van Gerwen, and the rest of the darts elite in February when the Darts Premier League starts.

Asking for followers

After reaching the one million follower landmark, fellow championship finalist Humphries joked with the teenage sensation about asking for more followers!

'Follow me'

According to @lukethenukelittler on Instagram, the teenage sensation shared Humphries' direct message: "Bro, you need to tell some of them to follow me. That's mad. Congratulations, man."

Helping the world champion

After Littler shared it on his Instagram story, the new world champion gained some followers from Littler's new army of fans, growing from 133,000 to 171,000 in just a few days.

Rapid rise

Littler only started posting content on his Instagram at the end of November, and like his darts game, it has seen a rapid rise over the past few weeks.

Banking on his success

The PDC has banked on his early success by including him in the Premier League, and they hope that he continues to be successful so more people will watch the sport and play it.
