Former tennis star Anna Kournikova has been spotted in public for the first time in two years, raising concerns about her health after being seen in a wheelchair.
The 43-year-old, who has largely stayed out of the public eye since retiring from professional tennis, was photographed at Bal Harbour Shops in Miami, Florida, accompanied by her daughters Lucy and Mary, as well as close friends, the New York Post reported.

Kournikova, once one of the most recognizable faces in tennis, retired at the young age of 21 due to chronic injuries, including serious back problems.
Despite never winning a singles title on the WTA Tour, she was a dominant force in doubles, reaching world No. 1 and winning multiple Grand Slam titles alongside Martina Hingis.
Off the court, her striking looks and engaging personality helped make her one of the biggest sports celebrities of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Since stepping away from the sport, Kournikova has lived a quiet life with her longtime partner, singer Enrique Iglesias. The couple, who have been together since 2001, share three children: twins Lucy and Nicholas, 7, and their youngest daughter Mary, 4, per The Independent.
Though notoriously private, Kournikova occasionally shares glimpses of their family life on social media, often posting heartwarming moments with her children and Iglesias.

The nature of Kournikova’s current injury remains unclear, as neither she nor her representatives have issued a public statement regarding her health, per the Post.
However, the nature of the orthopedic boot suggests that the injury is likely a temporary foot issue and not linked to the back injury that forced her into early retirement.
Her public sighting has also reignited interest in her impact on the sport. Kournikova was not just a talented player, but also a global icon who helped elevate the profile of women’s tennis.
She played a key role in increasing the sport’s marketability, securing lucrative endorsement deals and drawing attention to the WTA Tour at a time when women’s tennis was reaching new heights of popularity.
