Victoria Vergara is arguably one of the most talented longboarders to ever join the Tour. The French surfer is also a renowned model in the industry, but continues to surf professionally to this day! This is the story of Victoria Vergara.

Big part of her life

Vergara considers herself a surfer above all else. It has been a very important pillar in her life ever since she got up on her first wave at the age of four!

Saint-Leu in Réunion

Born April 11, 1994, in France, Vergara grew up surfing waves in New Caledonia and Réunion Island, some of the most mesmerizing water on earth! "I grew up on the perfect beach of Saint-Leu, in between the hot locals, the powerful lefts, and the traditional curry chicken," she told Red Bull in an interview.

Sharky waters

The small island of Réunion, located right in the middle of the Idean Ocean is home to some of the world's most incredible waves but has been sadly overshadowed by its abundance of sharks!

Exceptional techincal prowess

Vergara had a great talent, visible from an early age. Her ability to maneuver her longboard with style and grace pushed her toward a professional career in surfing.

WSL time!

Vergara joined the World Tour in 2016, finishing in the top 10 worldwide in her first season in the WSL (World Surf League) circuit.

Modeling career

In 2017, the young French surfer appeared on the cover of Pacific Longboarder Magazine, which kickstarted her modeling career.

Where is she now?

Today, Victoria Vergara is busy traveling the globe, from California to Japan and Hawaii, to participate in the classic Duct Tape Championship events alongside some of the world's best longboarders.
