10 of the best! Harry Kane's greatest Premier League goals
Harry Kane created Premier League history this month, becoming the third player in the league's history to score 200 Premier League goals behind Wayne Rooney (208) and Alan Shearer (260).
At just 29 years of age, Kane looks set to be the man who may possibly break Alan Shearer's record of 260 goals.
His 200th Premier League goal against Manchester City also had greater significance, surpassing Jimmy Greaves as Tottenham's all-time top scorer. A record that has stood since 1970.
Let's look through his ten best and most historic Premier League goals over the years.
Kane's first Premier League goal came in a 5-1 victory over Sunderland in April 2014. He scored in the 59th minute of the game, tapping in a cross from Christian Eriksen to get him off the mark.
This goal makes the top ten only due to its significance. The English striker netted his 100th Premier League goal with a penalty against Liverpool in 2018, becoming the second-quickest player to reach the mark in Premier League history.
In true Harry Kane fashion, the striker scored a beautiful chip over Southampton's Fraser Forster to end 2017 as the top scorer in Europe's top five major leagues (56).
In December 2015, Kane scored an iconic solo goal in a 2-0 victory over Southampton, skipping past three players and rifling the ball past the goalkeeper. In years to come, the last defender he skipped past would go on to be one of the best in the world, Virgil Van Dijk.
Kane scored his 150th Premier League goal in December 2020 with a trademark header in the last minute of time against West Brom in a 1-0 victory. The superb header helped him become only the tenth player in Premier League history to score 150 goals.
It was one of Kane's final goals at White Hart Lane. The forward unleashed a 35-yard bullet past Joel Robles, helping Spurs finish second in the league and adding another goal on his way to winning his second consecutive golden boot.
In February 2015, Kane's game-winning header against Arsenal was one of the headers of the season. The 86th-minute goal drew many comparisons to goals scored by Premier League legend, Didier Drogba, looping the ball over the Arsenal goalkeeper, giving him no chance.
Kane had a vintage display in a 4-1 thrashing of Crystal Palace in 20/21. Chalking off two assists and scoring an outrageous lob over the Crystal Palace keeper. The game was the trademark of his season, with his goal and two assists contributing to his Golden Boot award and Playmaker of the Season award.
An arrowed finish under Manchester City's Ederson in February 2023, cemented Kane's legacy as one of the all-time great goal scorers. The goal had huge significance, surpassing Jimmy Greaves as Tottenham's all-time top goal scorer (267) and joining the 200 Premier League goal club.
Kane produced his best goal against North London rivals Arsenal. A backheel from Dele Alli gave Kane the space to curl a dipping shot over David Ospina from close to the touchline. The goal was a catalyst for the serious title challenge Spurs had given Chelsea for the remainder of the season.
At 29, Kane has won many scoring accolades in his footballing career, winning the Premier League Golden Boot three times, the 2018 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot, and the IFFHS World's Best Top Goal Scorer in 2017.
According to thefootballfaithful.com, Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle said, "As a striker, he's got a little bit of everything. He can hit it, he's got enough pace, he plays off his left, his right. He scores all types of goals."
