Alexa Melton: Rising golf star and partner of ‘Captain America’ Christian Pulisic

US soccer star Christian Pulisic has sparked rumors that he and rising golf star Alexa Melton are dating after the pair were spotted on holiday after the USA's defeat to Uruguay at the Copa America.

The pair have both posted pictures together on Instagram and have made a trip to a luxury resort to get some rest and recovery. Pulisic is coming off a tough season in club and international football, and Melton is coming off playing at the US Women's Open.

Pulisic was first spotted with the rising golf star at the US Women's Open at the start of June, and reports of their relationship have continued to circulate in the US media.

So, who is Alexa Melton? The golfing star trying to make it onto the LPGA Tour, and the woman dating US soccer captain Christian Pulisic.

According to The Sun, Melton is in her second year on the EPSON Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour. She turned professional in 2023 after graduating from the University of Southern California.

Her college career at USC didn't go as planned, playing in three events as a sophomore and two events as a junior before being cut in her senior year.

In an Instagram post in 2023, Melton wrote: "Growing up playing softball, soccer, and now golf, I've always loved the thrill of competition. However, throughout college, I allowed outside factors and opinions to impact my perception of it."

The EPSON Tour website reports that Melton has made the cut on three occasions in 2024, with her best finish coming at the Atlantic Beach Classic, finishing T26 with a score of +1.

The J Lindeberg ambassador qualified for the 2024 US Women's Open after earning the third and final spot at the El Macero (Calif.) Country Club qualifier. She finished her debut US Open in tied 151st after scoring +21.

The 2019 Southern California Golf Association Women's Amateur winner has had a rocky start to her professional golf career, but with the help of an elite like Pulisic by her side, can she make it onto the LPGA Tour?
