Bengal’s superstar Joe Burrow injured at training camp
Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a lower leg injury at the team’s training camp.
Per reporting by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Burrow was carted off the field after suffering the injury.
It is believed Burrow has suffered a strain to her calf, an injury that could see the star QB miss the rest of the Bengals’ preseason practices.
NFL.com has reported Bengals head coach Zak Taylor is currently unsure of Burrow’s return date as the severity of the injury is not yet known.
Speaking to The Athletic, Burrow’s number one receiver Jamarr Chase didn’t seem too concerned, saying, "He gave me a nod he's all right. He's a strong dude."
Unfortunately, this is not Burrow’s first serious injury. His rookie year saw him suffer an ACL tear which saw his preseason curtailed in 2021 before an appendectomy in the middle of the Bengals’ 2022 training camp saw him miss all of the team’s preseason games.
Talking to the Cincinnati Bengal’s media, Burrow was hoping for an injury free offseason, saying, “I know I'm going to be able to get a lot more out of this training camp than I have the last couple, as long as stay healthy”
Joe Burrow has emerged as one of the very best quarterbacks in the NFL over the past few seasons, keeping his side in Super Bowl contention the past two seasons. The team will be hoping his injury isn’t too bad and he can be back on the field as soon as possible.
