City win again! Ranking Manchester City's seven Premier League titles

Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City side were crowned Premier League champions at the weekend, winning the title for three straight seasons.

After beating Everton two weeks ago, the champions only needed one win against Chelsea to clinch the crown. However, after Arsenal's shock loss to Nottingham Forest, the league was sealed before last weekend.

City has dominated the league like Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, winning five league titles in the last six seasons.

City had a poor start to their 2020-2021 title campaign, winning only three of the first eight games and finding themselves down in 13th by the middle of November.

Manchester City were in eighth spot at Christmas, the lowest a title-winning team had ever been at the turn of the year. Despite that, Guardiola's men went on a superb run, winning 27 out of 28 games and beating Liverpool by ten points to secure the league.

Like they were in the 2020/21 campaign, City played second fiddle to Arsenal for pretty much all of the season, finding themselves eight points away from the leaders in March this year.

Erling Haaland has been instrumental in helping City climb to the top, scoring 36 Premier League goals and winning all but two games since the 5^th of February. The champions claimed the title with two games remaining in the year.

The 2013-2014 season was as gripping as it gets, with the lead changing 25 times during the year. City won the league on the final day, despite only being on top for 15 days.

It looked to be Liverpool's title to win, but Steven Gerrard's slip in a loss to Chelsea and a dreadful capitulation against Crystal Palace helped City nip over Liverpool, winning five consecutive games.

The 2018-2019 season possessed two teams much deserving of the Premier League title, with Liverpool finishing second with 97 points and City winning with 98 points.

City had won all of their last 14 games, but after failing to break Leicester City for 60 minutes, captain Vincent Kompany unleashed a thunderbolt into the top corner, relieving the pressure off City, who cruised to a 4-1 win on the last day. Liverpool only lost one game all season.

Manchester City's sixth title in the 2021-2022 season is easily one of the most impressive accomplishments in Premier League history, winning the league without a recognized striker.

With no number nine, City still racked up 99 league goals, winning the league by one point, with 93, and Liverpool finished second with 92.
