Final number 2!

Wednesday 29 May marks the final of the Conference League, Europe's third club competition. Here's everything you need to know ahead of the match.

Who's playing?

The final of the Conference League sees Greece's Olympiacos take on Italy's Fiorentina.

Where are they playing?

The final will take place in Athens, the capital of Greece, at the stadium of AEK Athens, one of Olympiacos' rivals, per UEFA. The Red-Whites are expected to enjoy a huge home advantage.

Who's the referee?

The match will be in the hands of Portuguese referee Artur Soares Dias. "I have worked for 28 years to reach a major final like this – being a referee is the same as a player, a final is a final and we all want to be there," he told UEFA.

Who's the favourite?

It looks like an evenly matched game between the third-placed team in the Greek competition and the eighth-placed team in Serie A. Olympiacos, however, knocked out favourites Aston Villa in the semi-finals, making them favourites for many.

Pre-final run: Olympiacos

Olympiacos entered the Conference League in the play-off round after finishing third in their Europa League group. They eliminated Ferencvaros, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Fenerbahçe and Aston Villa to qualify for the final, according to Transfermarkt.

Pre-final run: Fiorentina

Fiorentina came out on top in group F of the Conference League, winning three and drawing three. They then made their way past Maccabi Haifa, Viktoria Plzen and Belgian champions Club Brugge to book their ticket to Athens.

Players to watch: Olympiacos

Olympiacos have a number of attacking weapons at their disposal, the most dangerous of which is Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi, scorer of a hat-trick at Villa Park and 32 goals in all competitions this season, per Transfermarkt. Olympiacos will also count on Konstantinos Fortounis, Daniel Podence and Georgios Masouras to make the difference.

Players to watch: Fiorentina

Fiorentina is a team without big stars, which plays like a real unit and is physically strong. Their top scorer this season is Argentinian winger Nicolas Gonzalez (pictured), who is looking for his 16th goal of the season. Other players to watch are Giacomo Bonaventura and Lucas Beltran, amongst others.

Our prediction

Olympiacos are virtually playing at home and impressed against Aston Villa, while Fiorentina are in their second consecutive Conference League final after last year's dramatic loss against West Ham. It is likely to be a close game, which we think will go La Viola's way thanks to their experience and physical qualities. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
