How Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham could win the Ballon d'Or at the age of 21!

English superstar Jude Bellingham and his Real Madrid side went through to the Champions League final on the 8th of May, beating Bayern Munich thanks to Joselu's two late goals.

Madrid has reached a record 15 Champions League finals and is one game short of capping off a formidable season on all fronts. 

According to LiveScore, the Spanish giants already won La Liga with four games remaining in the season, largely thanks to their new superstar Jude Bellingham.

Football365 reports that Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane were the favorites to win the Ballon d'Or before they were knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals, but now Bellingham and Vinicius Jr have emerged as the standouts.

After winning the Bundesliga Player of the Year, Jude Bellingham had high expectations to perform for the biggest club in the world, costing Madrid £88 million (€103 million and $11o million).

At only 20 years old, Bellingham has brushed off the pressure and become Madrid's leading talisman, scoring 18 goals and providing four assists in the league, sitting as the league's second-top scorer, one goal in front of Robert Lewandowski.

The website Transfermarkt reports that Bellingham is Real Madrid's top scorer in all competitions this season, popping up with four goals in the Champions League and four more strikes than Vinicius Jr.

As Real Madrid's leading offensive threat in a team that has decimated La Liga and could potentially win the Champions League, Jude Bellingham has to be the name who's in line to win his first Ballon d'Or.

If club success isn't enough for Bellingham to be considered the Ballon d'Or favourite, the Birmingham-born midfielder has a huge summer with his country.

After leading Real Madrid to a potential historic double, Bellingham has quickly become one of England's premiere players in the last couple of years, including Harry Kane and Phil Foden.

Bellingham has become the new face of England's next generation, who are tipped to win plenty of major tournaments in the coming years after successful spells at previous championships.

The Real Madrid superstar was part of the England team that reached the Euro 2020 final against Italy and played a major role in England reaching the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar. 

Fox Sports reports that England is the odds-on favourite to win the tournament, with France, Germany, and Spain all close behind. 

If Bellingham has the tournament that is expected of him and England wins Euro 2024, he could be the leading man in three of the biggest trophies this season. 

In his short career, the English ace has already picked up individual awards, securing the 2023 Golden Boy Award, the 2023 Kopa Trophy, and the 2024 Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year.
