Dani Alves has left prison after being incarcerated for 14 months at Brians 2, located in Barcelona. The former Barcelona player is now free after posting bail for 1 million euros (£857,790; $1.1 million), but who financed his freedom?

The Barcelona court imposed a hefty bail for his conditional release. There was speculation linking Neymar Sr. as the potential candidate to post bail for a known family friend. Nevertheless, he denied any allegations on the matter.

Dani Alves is facing a series of financial problems after his accounts were blocked in Brazil due to a dispute with Dinarah Santana, regarding his children's pensions. Furthermore, his Spanish assets don't provide enough liquidity either.

According to newspaper La Voz de Galicia, his former lawyer, Inés Guardiola shared her client had two accounts at La Caixa, one with no balance and the other with 51,000 euros and a 50,000 euro embargo.

So how did Dani Alves get out of jail if he has no means of paying bail? According to the television network TUDN, it was his former teammate Memphis Depay.
