Roger Federer to make a shock return to professional tennis!?
Tennis legend Roger Federer could make a shock return to professional tennis at this year's Laver Cup, the tournament he retired at back in 2022.
Federer has admitted he will only return to the professional game if he can play doubles at the tournament with long-time rival and friend Rafael Nadal.
The tennis GOAT played his final professional match with Nadal at the 2022 Laver Cup, losing in a tie break to Team World's Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe.

According to the Tennis 365 website, Federer admits he does not expect to play with Nadal in doubles at the team competition but would play if the Spaniard asked him.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Federer said: "I don't think we'll play doubles together at Laver. But if he asks me, I'll be there."
Federer has represented Team Europe at the Laver Cup in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022. His last singles appearance came in the quarter-final of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, losing to Hubert Hurkacz.
Across his incredible 24-year career at the pinnacle of tennis, Federer accumulated 20 Grand Slam titles, the third most behind Nadal (22) and Djokovic (24).
According to the ATP Tennis website, Federer has a record of 1251 wins and 275 losses. He has won 103 titles and secured $130,594,339 (£103,344,524, €122,283,315) in total prize money.
The Grand Slam champion's career was cut short because of injuries to his right knee. He underwent three surgeries between 2020 and 2021, largely restricting him from competing after the 2020 Australian Open.
With 42 Grand Slam titles between them, can Nadal and Federer win the Laver Cup doubles tournament if they play with each other again?
