What will happen to Sergio Ramos?

Sergio Ramos' future is still hanging in the balance but the doors of Sevilla are definitively closed for the former Real Madrid superstar who cut his teeth at the Andalusian club. Sevilla president Pepe Castro made this fact known via a statement he made to El Larguero.

Castro's own words

"We have a planned program that we are carrying out as we have said," began the president of the Andalusian club when asked about the possibility of Ramos returning to the club where he took his first steps.

"No"

"Sergio Ramos has never been an option," the Sevilla president told 'El Larguero'.

The reason

But why? Pepe Castro replied: "Because we don't believe we need his services."

Was he ever considered?

So there was never a chance that Ramos would return to Sevilla after leaving PSG? Apparently yes, but not really.

Castro's answer

"There was a direct or indirect offer... but we didn't talk about it," Castro said.

The club president's words are in line with what Sevilla's sporting director Víctor Orta said a few days ago. In a press conference and according to statements reported by 'elDesmarque.com', the Sevilla manager had stated the following on a possible signing of Sergio Ramos.

Too many midfielders

"With the current squad model we have, there's no possibility because we have six midfielders."

'There is no chance'

If there were still doubts, the club's sporting director dispelled them. "We have membership issues and, in the club's regeneration model, betting on these types of signings...there's no chance of him playing here this season.".

The future gets complicated for Ramos

Where will Ramos play next season? Nothing has been said yet, but some media are betting on the Saudi championship or Galatasaray as possible destinations for the PSG departee.

Saudi Arabia bound?

Journalist Rudy Galetti, through his social media, claims that Ramos already has a verbal agreement with Al-Ittihad to play next season after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

Or off to Istanbul?

However, some argue that Ramos is also in talks with Galatasaray and that an announcement could be made in the next few days.

Everything still up in the air

In any case, nothing has been decided yet for the Andalusian who sees his future becoming more and more complicated every day.
