Tennis star Coco Gauff is set for a mighty career change after French Open win!

American superstar Coco Gauff had a traumatic end to her French Open singles journey, losing to Iga Swiatek in straight sets in the semi-final. However, she now walks away from Paris with a smile on her face.

With regular partner Jessica Pegula out, Gauff teamed up with Katerina Siniakova in the French Open doubles, forming a formidable partnership and helping Gauff pick up her maiden doubles Grand Slam.

According to Tennis365, Gauff and Siniakova beat Italy's Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini 7-6(5), 6-3, avenging Gauff's previous heartbreaks in doubles Grand Slam finals.

Speaking after her heartbreaking loss in the singles semi-final, Gauff alluded to potentially finishing her doubles career when she won her first doubles Grand Slam.

Before her doubles semi-final match, Gauff said: "I want to win a doubles Slam. I don't want to say close that chapter of my career, but it's something I feel like once I do it, I don't know if I'll come to continue to chase more."

Her comments suggest Gauff is in for a momentous career change in tennis, and her focus is now on winning singles titles and Grand Slams. At world number two, according to the ATP rankings, the American is always a favorite in each competition she plays in.
