The Premier League relegation battle made even more twists and turns over the course of the weekend.

Important wins

Everton and Nottingham Forest got vital wins last week, edging them out of the relegation zone for the foreseeable future.

Three remain

For the bottom six Premier League clubs, two games remain to ensure they stay in England's top division.

Survival

Let's look at each team's fixtures and their chance of survival!

West Ham United (15th/37 points/-14 GD)

West Ham boosted their Premier League survival hopes after a shock 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Easier run in

'The Hammers' play Leeds United and Leicester City in their last two games of the season, who both sit in the relegation zone. West Ham will be confident they can secure two wins.

Nottingham Forest (16th/34 points/-31 GD)

Nottingham Forest was handed a major survival boost, defeating bottom team Southampton 4-3 and drawing with Chelsea at the weekend.

Tough fixtures

Forest remains three points above the drop zone but faces Arsenal at home in their next fixture. They will be praying their three-point cushion is still there when they face Crystal Palace in the last game of the season.

Everton (17th/32 points/-24 GD)

As well as Nottingham Forest, Everton was also handed a shot at survival and gained extreme confidence, dismantling highflyers Brighton 5-1 away from home last week.

Goal difference

Everton will fancy their chances of finishing higher than Forest, having a seven-shot better goal difference, and facing already safe Wolves and Bournemouth next up.

Leicester City (19th/30 points/-18 GD)

Leicester City's dream of staying in the Premier League suffered a huge blow last night, losing to Liverpool 3-0 at home.

Unfavourable games

New manager Dean Smith will have to come up with a mastermind plan to keep 'The Foxes' up as they have to face Champions League contenders Newcastle United before facing West Ham on the final day.

Leeds United (18th/31 points/-25 GD)

Sam Allardyce, the master of Premier League survival, may have his work cut out in this job, trying to save a defensive nightmare in Leeds United with two games remaining.

Awful defence

Leeds had gained one point from the last seven games, but a 2-2 draw against third-placed Newcastle last time out will give them confidence they can get out of the relegation zone.

Southampton (20th/24 points/-35 GD)

Despite a committed and whole-hearted display against Fulham, the loss confirms their relegation to the Championship, leaving them eight points away from safety.

Relegated

Southampton will play Brighton and Liverpool to end their 11-year stay in the league.
