The Los Angeles Angels record third highest MLB victory since 1900

The Los Angeles Angels recorded the third-biggest win in the MLB since 1900, beating the Colorado Rockies 25-1 last weekend.

The Angels set new franchise records for runs, hits (28), and margin of victory, including a 13-run third inning.

According to theguardian.com, Angels manager Phil Nevin said: "We attacked pitches in the zone. Hitting gets contagious at times. Big boys get into something like that in the third; it fires up the clubhouse."

Mike Trout, Brandon Drury, and Matt Thaiss hit consecutive home runs, opening up the 13-run third inning.

According to theguardian.com, Angels David Fletcher said: "I don't think I've seen anything like that, honestly, starting with three homers in a row, pretty unbelievable."

The Toronto Blue Jays dealt a crushing blow to the Boston Red Sox in July 2022, securing a 28-5 victory after nine innings.

The largest win since 1900 came in the 2007 contest between Texas Rangers and the Baltimore Orioles, with Texas demolishing them 30-3.

Baltimore was up 3-0 in the third inning. Still, thanks to Ramon Vazquez and Jarrod Saltalamacchia's two homers each, Texas scored 30 runs between the fourth and ninth, leading to the fifth most significant victory in MLB history.
