It's a repeat of the 2020 Super Bowl final as the Kansas City Chiefs look to become back-to-back champions when they face the San Fransisco 49ers on February 11 in Las Vegas.

The stars

The Chiefs are led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, while the 49ers are led by polarizing quarterback Brock Purdy and powerhouse running back Christian McCaffrey.

The game between the two teams in 2020 was a blockbuster, with Mahomes throwing for three touchdowns in the final six minutes to help the Chiefs overcome a double-digit deficit and win 31-20, as reported by ESPN.

Which games have been the best?

The 2020 Super Bowl was electric, so let's look at the five greatest NFL Super Bowl in the modern era of the game.

Super Bowl XXV (5)

The Superbowl XXV game was between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants to decide the 1990 NFL season, which ended 20-19 in favor of the Giants.

The kick to decide it all

According to The Sportster, the game is one of the cleanest Super Bowls of all time, with neither team committing a turnover. However, the game is most notably known for Bill's kicker, Scott Norwood, missing a game-winning field goal at the close of play to decide the contest's winner.

Super Bowl XLIII (4)

The 2009 Superbowl between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals is one of the greatest Super Bowls of all due to the extraordinary offensive plays from start to finish.

Steelers success

The Steelers won the game 27-23, becoming the first team to win six Superbowl Championships and the second victory in four years, as reported by the website First Sportz.

Game-winning play

With Pittsburgh down by three with 42 seconds left, Ben Roethlisberger found Santonio Holmes, who made a toe-tap catch in the corner of the end zone, becoming arguably the greatest catch in Super Bowl history.

Super Bowl XLIX (3)

Superbowl XLIX was a momentous battle between Tom Brady of the New England Patriots, and Russell Wilson of the defending champions, the Seattle Seahawks.

Brady's fourth ring

According to ESPN, with the Patriots down by ten in the third quarter, Brady's orchestrated offense found 14 points before the end of the game to win it 28-24, securing Brady's fourth Super Bowl ring.

Defensive winning play

The game is remembered by the Seahawks' final play, in which they threatened to score a touchdown, but Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler came up with one of the greatest interceptions of all time to win it for the Patriots.

Super Bowl XIII (2)

Superbowl XIII between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys finished 35-31 to Pittsburgh. It was the first time a defending champion had lost in the Superbowl and the first time a team had scored 30 and not won the game, as stated by the website Lines.

Bradshaw masterclass

Terry Bradshaw was named Superbowl MVP, completing 17 of 30 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns, both being Super Bowl records at the time.

Super Bowl LI (1)

In our opinion, the greatest Super Bowl to date was the 2017 game between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots, which saw the Patriots win 34-28.

Greatest comeback in NFL history

The game is most notably known for the Patriots' famous comeback from 28-3 down to go on and score 19 points in the fourth quarter to take the game to overtime and win, as covered by the NFL's website.

Brady the GOAT

ESPN reported the game saw Tom Brady win his fifth Superbowl ring and his fourth Super Bowl MVP trophy at the age of 39, completing 43 passes and throwing for 466 passing yards.

Will this Super Bowl be one of the greatest?

Will this year's Super Bowl be worthy of this list in the coming years? We can't say for sure but on paper, it has all the makings of a classic!
