Tough test

This is the first legitimate tough test for Paul as August comes into the fight with a 10-1-1 professional record, winning his last three.

Gaining experience

This is the first professional fight Paul has failed to promote globally, as he believes the bout is just about gaining experience.

'I am a world champion'

According to talksport.com, Paul spoke on his podcast, 'BS with Jake Paul,' saying: "I am a world champion! I possess the talent, hard work, skill set, and all the attributes of a world champion."

Jutte Leerdam

Paul hasn't got to look any further than his partner for someone with all the attributes of being a world champion in elite-level sports, as Jutte Leerdam is a six-time speed skating world champion.

Taking inspiration

It should be Paul taking inspiration from his world champion girlfriend, but Leerdam was caught doing Paul's famous 'shush' celebration as she scooped gold at the recent Speed Skating World Cup.

'We're taking over the world'

According to @jakepaul on Instagram, the infamous social media boxer spoke on his fight with August, saying: "In nine days we silence EM baby." To which she replied, saying: "We're taking over the world."

World record

For Leerdam, she has all but taken over the speed skating world, dominating in the 1000m sprint and the team sprint, setting a team sprint world record time with her Dutch teammates Letitia De Jong and Femke Kok (1:24:029) in Utah in 2020.

Olympic silver

On the world domination front, Leerdam has won gold in everything she could other than the Olympic Games, having won a silver medal in the 2022 Olympics.

Mass following

Her appearance and world-champion ability have helped her cultivate a mass audience on social media, having over four million followers on Instagram.

A long way to go

However, aged 24, Leerdam still has her whole career ahead of her, and Koen Verweij, a fellow Olympic speed skater believes she can win more.

'Won almost everything'

According to dailymail.co.uk, Verweij said: "I have trained with many women, but I have never seen them like Jutta before. She is already performing very well under pressure and won almost everything in recent years, but she can get much better."

'Set a new standard'

Verweij added: "If she continues to develop in this way, then she will set a new standard in terms of times."

2026 Winter Olympics

At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, Leerdam lost out to Japan's Miho Takagi in the women's 1000m sprint, and she will hope to rectify that at the 2026 Games in Milan.

88 top three finishes

The Dutch speed skater, who has 88 top-three finishes across all of the major speed skating competitions, now focuses on her boyfriend's fight this weekend.
