Why it will be yet another trophyless season for Harry Kane
There is no denying Harry Kane's immense talent, having scored hundreds of goals and assisted hundreds more during his incredible career, yet the former Tottenham man has never won a major trophy, for club or country, and this year, that trend looks to continue.
There was much speculation that Xabi Alonso would leave Bayer Leverkusen following his remarkable 23/24 campaign in which he led his team to the league and cup double, going undefeated along the way.
Bayern Munich were scraping the bottom of the managerial barrel when they chose to appoint Vincent Kompany as manager, he could prove to be a success, but he wasn't the Bavarians' first, second, or even eighth choice for the role. His lack of experience at a big club could see him need an extended adjustment period by which point the league could be out of sight.

Kane's luck in major finals has been incredibly unlucky, having appeared in two Euros finals and a Champions League final, yet he has never triumphed. Let's take a look at the history of Harry Kane's trophy drought.
England went into the Euro 2024 final with several players expected to make a difference: Jude Bellingham, who won almost everything with Real Madrid, and Harry Kane, who scored 44 goals for Bayern Munich this season, per Transfermarkt.
At the end of 90 minutes, however, it was Spain who beat Kane and Bellingham to win their fourth European title.
The problem for England's number 9 is that he has been crowned the most cursed player in football when it comes to trophies.
Kane played for Tottenham for 12 seasons, but did not win any trophies with the club.
Kane then signed for Bayern to win his first trophies, but the Bavarians failed to win the Bundesliga after 11 consecutive titles!

They also failed to win the German Cup and lost in the Champions League semi-finals, after a crazy last-minute comeback by Real Madrid.
And all this while Kane scored 44 goals in 45 games for Bayern, as well as providing 12 assists. Despite those stats, Bayern failed to win the championship for the first time in 12 years.
He has not fared better with England. Kane scored three goals in Germany, but did not look at his best at the Euros.
What's more, in the 61st minute, Gareth Southgate replaced him with Watkins, who immediately made his presence felt and contributed to Cole Palmer's 1-1. These were England's best moments in the final, without Kane on the pitch.
However, the curse of the England captain seems to apply to the team as well, as Oyarzabal scored the late winner for Spain to clinch the title for La Roja.
Harry Kane's record is extremely painful: he lost one Champions League final (2019), two Carabao Cups (2015 and 2021), one German Super Cup (2024) and two European Championships (2021 and 2024).
Will Kane finally win a trophy next season, or will his painful curse continue?
