All the sordid details of Conor McGregor’s latest assault allegations
Conor McGregor’s famous temper has made headlines again after reports surfaced that he allegedly assaulted a woman on a yacht in Ibiza last summer.
An unnamed 42-year-old Irish national accused McGregor of kicking her and seriously damaging her wrist before punching her, which prompted her to flee the yacht by jumping off it into the water.
The Irish woman spoke to the police at the time but the case was archived because she had not formalized her complaint with the Civil Guard in Formentera according to the Spanish publication Ultima Hora.
A formal complaint has now been filed in Dublin for the assault that took place on July 17th and proceedings have been reopened in Spain.
Karen Kessler, a representative of McGregor’s, wrote in a statement to ESPN that Conor denied all the charges levled against him.
"Mr McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat," Kessler's statement read.
Ultima Hora included the woman's full account of what happened on the yacht between herself and McGregor, and it does not sound too off from some of the former UFC champion's previous behavior.
McGregor’s accuser apparently knew the mixed martial artist because they were from the same neighborhood and so she went with a friend and a Hungarian couple to locate his birthday party and surprise him.
“According to her story,” wrote Ultima Hora, “she managed to access it because the fighter himself called her to come in and she spent a good part of the night there with him and with friends they had in common.”
“Around half past three or four in the morning,” the story continued, “the fighter decided to leave the establishment and return to his yacht. He invited the woman to go with him."
The pair boarded McGregor’s yacht at dawn with two other friends and a group of guests partied on deck until the early morning hours of July 17th.
The woman told Ultima Hora that at some point, McGregor began insulting her appearance and things took a turn for the worst.
“All of his behavior changed and he became very aggressive," Ultima Hora quotes the woman as saying.
The woman recounted that McGregor suddenly and without warning kicked her "just below her navel and punched her in the chin," which caused her to fall and hurt her wrist, Ultima Hora reported.
The woman then fled the yacht by jumping into the water and attempted to board another boat after hitching a ride to safety.
“Shortly after, she was rescued by a Red Cross boat, which took her ashore and to a medical center,” according to Ultima Hora.
This wasn't the first time McGregor was accused of malicious assault while vacationing. Back in 2019, the former UFC star was arrested in Miami Beach for felony robbery after allegedly smashing a fan's phone in anger.
