A promising career

Madelene Wright was involved in football from a young age, soon playing for Millwall’s youth setup before getting snapped up by local rivals Charlton.

Investigated at Millwall

Whilst at Millwall, Wright was investigated by the team after she had posted a Snapchat story of her dog with its paws on the steering wheel of her car as she was driving.

Signing for Charlton

After her stint at Millwall ended under a cloud, Wright joined Charlton FC, who compete in the second tier of English Women’s football.

In trouble again

After signing with Addicks in January 2020, Wright found herself in trouble with her new club just a year later.

Troubling videos

Wright was seen on various Snapchat videos inhaling a balloon of laughing gas and drinking a bottle of champagne behind the wheel whilst driving.

Losing her job

Given this indiscretion, Charlton decided to deregister Wright from their professional books.

Not happy with their player

A statement from Charlton stated, "As a club, we are disappointed with the behaviour which doesn't represent the standards the team upholds.”

Disappointed in herself

In an interview with The Sun, Wright explained, “I loved Charlton, my coaches and teammates so the decision left me heartbroken.” in response to her sacking.

Unsure of her future

After leaving Charlton, Wright was unsure of what to do next, telling The Sun, "After I was sacked, I started thinking if I would be able to play football again, what level I'd be able to play, and will other teams want me at their club.”

Embarrassed and ashamed

As a young footballer, it is understandable to make mistakes, but as Wright herself said, again to The Sun, "I felt guilty, embarrassed and disappointed in myself that I showed myself in that light."

A change of path

When news broke of Wright’s sacking, she became a notorious figure almost overnight and her social media pages blew up as a result, she now has over 300,000 followers on Instagram.

Becoming an influencer overnight

After her presence grew, suddenly Wright was a wanted woman. Companies started to offer her money to advertise their products on her page, "It was almost like one career had ended, while another one was just beginning." Wright told The Sun.

Venturing into adult content

By 2021, Wright had made the decision to venture into the more raunchy side of social media, setting up a service where subscribers pay £24 a month to see the raunchier side of Wright.

Instant success

Almost instantly this new venture was a success, with Wright making well over half a million pounds in the first year alone!

Initially nervous

Whilst the money came rolling in, Wright had been nervous about stepping into the adult content world, telling The Sun, "My main reason not to do it was the reputation it had, I didn't want to be associated with that kind of thing.

Only a stepping stone

Despite her new-found wealth and success, Wright views her adult content as a stepping stone rather than her long-term plan with aims to use her finances to grow her own business and become an entrepreneur.
