NFL Mock Draft: Super Bowl Edition
The Super Bowl is just days away, and if you’re like us, at this stage, you’re just waiting for the game to start. We have read, listened, and written to everything there is to say on the matchup, so we decided to switch focus briefly and take a look ahead to the NFL draft.
We have mocked Ward to the Titans for some time already, and we don’t see that changing any time soon. To us, he looks like the best quarterback in the class (which isn’t saying too much) and the Titans need a QB. They could look at other positions, but we don’t see how that helps them much.
The news of Myles Garrett’s trade request may change the Browns’ plans moving forward. It could give them an opportunity at a fresh start and a genuine rebuild, even if it’s a tough loss to take. Again, the Browns need a quarterback, so they take Sanders. Adding an elite defensive lineman doesn’t help them. If any team should know that, it’s the Browns.

Do we think this is a good idea? No. Jaxson Dart has some traits that translate to the NFL level, but he hasn’t shown enough for us to view him as a top-five pick. The Giants, however, are desperate, with general manager Joe Schoen in a last-chance-saloon scenario, meaning he may take a big swing.
If the board breaks this way, the Patriots will be very happy as it allows them to take the consensus number one offensive lineman. Will Campbell isn’t a freak athlete, or even freakishly large, but he’s solid and consistent, which is sometimes all you need.
The Jags have a good pair of edge rushers in Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen, so why not add an interior monster like Graham to the mix? The Jags’ defense was awful in 2024 (31st in EPA/Play, per SumerSports), so adding the best DT in a deep DT class is a good option.
The Raiders need a full rebuild, and there’s no quarterback worth taking with this pick, so they go for the best player available instead. There are suggestions Carter could be the number one or number two overall selection if the Titans and Browns don’t like the quarterback options, so to get him at six would be great value.
We expect Hunter to play mostly cornerback in the NFL, with a few packages on offense. Aaron Glenn has spent years in the Lions organization where they are willing to do things differently, so perhaps the Jets could be the perfect landing spot for this unicorn of a player.
Ryan Wilson for CBS Sports writes, “Tetairoa McMillan is 6-foot-5, but he moves like a shifty slot receiver with the benefit of an enormous catch radius and the ability to make contested catches look easy.” Give Bryce Young the best weapon in the class and make his life easier.
The Saints will need to move past Cameron Jordan at some point, given his age. Mykel Williams is a different sort of player, but given his athleticism, should be able to replace Jordan’s waning production.
Per Matt Miller for ESPN, some NFL teams view Banks as a guard at the pro level. Play-style wise, we think he looks more natural as a tackle, but his height (6’4”) could be prohibitive. Either way, the Bears need offensive line help, especially on the interior, so take the most talented option available and go from there.
The 49ers need help along the offensive and defensive lines, but, with Charvarius Ward and Isaac Yiadom expected to hit free agency, they also have holes to fill in the secondary. Will Johnson could go anywhere in round one, but 11th overall seems about right to us.
For the record, we think this would be a bad pick. Not because Jeanty isn’t a good player, he is, he’s great, it’s just the Cowboys have bigger issues. WR2 has been a weak spot for years, the offensive line isn’t good, and the interior of the defensive line is about as stout as a cotton bud.

This is contingent on the Dolphins letting Tyreek Hill leave, as per his request at the end of the season. If Hill goes, the Dolphins will need to find a replacement to keep their high-flying passing game going. Burden is a ‘traits’ player who could fit well into Mike McDaniels’ offense.
After we mocked the Colts Brock Bowers for most of the 2024 draft season, we are going back to the well in 2025 and giving them Tyler Warren. This is a loaded tight end class, so the Colts could look to select a different option in round two, but Warren could be a game-changer in Indy.
The Falcons need a EDGE, and few are more intriguing than Shemar Stewart. Stewart is the size of a defensive tackle, but you only have to watch a few plays to see his twitchiness. He impressed at the Senior Bowl, positioning himself as a legit round one talent.
Walker is a hybrid linebacker/EDGE. He lined up everywhere on Georgia’s defense last year and looked good doing so. The Cardinals need some pass rush help, which Walker will give them on late downs, while helping on early downs as a conventional inside LB.
We have seen a lot of mocks suggesting the Bengals need to find another skill position player, with Tee Higgins expected to leave. We understand the logic, but we also saw what happened last season with a stacked skill position group and an understaffed defense, so we’re mocking them Walter Nolen, a twitchy, supremely talented defensive end instead.
A little like Jalon Walker, Jihaad Campbell is both a linebacker and pass rusher. Campbell could blow up the combine with his athleticism, and we know head coach Mike Macdonald values the linebacker position.
Chris Godwin looks set to leave Tampa Bay, and Mike Evans isn’t quite the player he was during his absolute peak, leaving wide receiver as a big hole on the roster. Emeka Egbuka has drawn comparisons to Amon-Ra St. Brown, and we can see a little of that in his game. Regardless, he’s a talented player at a position of need.
Colston Loveland is viewed by some as the best tight end in the class. The Broncos are in desperate need of a tight end, so this feels like a match made in heaven. If Ashton Jeanty falls, we could also see him being of interest to the Broncos.
The Steelers need help at the wide receiver position, and Isaiah Bond is the next-best option. He may be the fastest player in the entire class, which would allow George Pickens to play in more space underneath.
There could be a few options for the Chargers here, with James Pearce Jr. also offering some pass rush juice off the edge. Nic Scourton has one thing over Pearce: size. We know Jim Harbaugh likes to out-muscle is opponents, which could make Scourton his favored option.

Cornerback could be an option here for the Packers, given Jaire Alexander may be moving on in the offseason. If Josh Simmons is still available, however, they should jump at the chance to draft him. He is coming off a serious injury which could hamper his draft stock, which could be music to Green Bay’s ears.
The Vikings are set to lose almost their entire secondary in free agency, which opens the door to selecting a cornerback in round one. Shavon Revel Jr. could also be in the conversation here, but an ACL tear last year may knock him come draft night.
Armand Membou was a 6’3” offensive tackle in college. There aren’t many tackles of that height in the NFL, which suggests he will slide inside at the next level. That suits the Texans, however, who are in desperate need of offensive guard help.
The Rams need to upgrade their offensive line regardless of what happens elsewhere. There are rumors Matthew Stafford may not be back in LA in 2025, and Cooper Kupp is on the trade block, which suggests the Rams are in full rebuild mode. There’s no better place to start than with your offensive line.
We were thinking of sending the Ravens an offensive tackle with this pick, but saw Ryan Wilson mock the Mike Green for CBS Sports, and somehow it just felt right. The Ravens love to have a great pass rush, and Green could end up being one of the best in this class.
The Lions will be entering an interesting phase after losing both coordinators. One they could do to ease the transition, is bolster their pass rush with the addition of James Pearce Jr. from Tennesee. Pearce reminds us of Nolan Smith Jr. in terms of athleticism. He’s a little longer so may need to add some weight at the pro level, but the talent is there.
The Commanders’ defense was able to get a solid amount of production from Dante Fowler Jr. and Clelin Ferrell in 2024, but with both expected to hit free agency, an upgrade is required. Sawyer is the prototypical 4-3 defensive end who has both good size and athleticism. He should be a welcome upgrade to a Washington team with big aspirations.
Starks slipping to 30 is unlikely, but we didn’t have anywhere else we thought made sense in this mock. Instead, the Bills are able to grab him late in the first round. He’s safety, but more than happy to line up in the slot if needed. He could be a difference maker immediately in Buffalo.
The Eagles could well be in the market for an offensive tackle with this selection, with Lane Johnson heading towards the end of his career, and we know Howie Roseman likes to plan ahead. Instead, we are sending them Princely Umanmielen, who will fill a more immediate hole given Josh Sweat is expected to leave in free agency.
Trey Smith is expected to leave the Chiefs in free agency. Given his talent, it won’t be an easy task to find a replacement. Tyler Booker is a huge right guard prospect, standing 6’5”, 352lbs, which could be enticing to Kansas City.
