Bill Belichick made an appearance at the NFL Honors, the league’s annual awards ceremony, hand in hand with his partner, Jordon Hudson.

At first glance, a couple showing up together on the red carpet and at a sports awards gala wouldn’t normally be headline-worthy—unless someone decides to make it so. And in this case, that someone was Snoop Dogg.

A 48-year age gap

The rapper, a die-hard NFL fan, took the mic and delivered the night’s viral joke, pointing out the age difference between Bill Belichick (72) and Jordon Hudson (24).

A viral joke

"I've been an NFL fan for a long, long time. I remember when the Cowboys were good. I remember when the Chiefs were bad. And I remember—what was it? Oh yeah, when Bill Belichick's girlfriend wasn’t even born yet," Snoop joked.

They took it well (or so it seemed)

Naturally, all eyes turned to the couple, who, to their credit, took the joke in their stride and laughed it off with ease.

Love has no age

Though, of course, no one will be more aware of the 48-year age gap than the couple themselves, as Julio Iglesias once sang: "Cuando el amor llega así de esa manera, uno no se da ni cuenta" ("When love comes along like that, you don’t even notice").

Since the summer of 2024

The couple have already been together for several months in what seems to be a solid relationship. Their romance became public in June 2024, following Bill Belichick’s breakup with Linda Holliday after 16 years together.

An NFL legend

Belichick, who made history in the NFL as head coach of the New England Patriots, is currently coaching North Carolina in the NCAA.

Born in the 21st century

Hudson, meanwhile, was a cheerleader at Bridgewater State University and a finalist in the Miss Maine USA pageant. For reference, she was born in the year 2000.

Will he ever return to the NFL?

Beyond their relationship, rumors of Bill Belichick’s potential return to the NFL continue to swirl. For now, however, the legend has limited himself to attending the NFL Honors party and proudly enjoying his relationship—which is no small thing.
