Mbappe suffers broken nose: Will he play in France's next game?
"Any ideas for masks?" These four words from Kylian Mbappe have helped to reassure millions of French and Madrid fans.
The French striker was the star of Les Bleus' debut match at Euro 2024, against Austria (the French won 1-0), but not because of his goals.

In the final minutes of the match, Mbappe's face accidentally collided with Austria's Kevin Danso's shoulder, leaving him sprawled on the pitch and the fans cringing.

The consequences of the impact were clearly visible: a deviated nose, a lot of blood and an immediate substitution for Mbappe, who was rushed to the hospital.
The images were shocking, with Mbappé stunned, Austrian goalkeeper Patrick Pentz calling for help to rush in, and the whole world holding its breath.
Alarm bells were ringing for Les Bleus, who had to continue without their star player, but also at Real Madrid, after seeing the star they had been chasing for seven years broke his nose.
According to RMC, speaking to the French Football Federation, after tests at the University Hospital of Düsseldorf, doctors have decided that Mbappe will not undergo surgery, despite suffering a broken nose.
This means that the striker could be ready to play next Friday, when France face the Netherlands. However, Didier Deschamps confirmed to TF1 that Mbappé's nose is "not looking good at all".
If Mbappé plays the next match against the Dutch, he will have to wear a protective mask.
After the incident, he decided to enter the field to waste time and give Deschamps time to bring on the substitutes he had planned. It cost him a yellow card, but added to his legend.
So what's next for Mbappé? Doctor F. Bryand, speaking to 'L'Equipe du Soir', believes the next two weeks will be tough for Mbappé and suggests a minimum of a week's rest.
